I Love this keyboard. Yes, it is pricey but it is perfect and unlike others you do not have to charge it which makes it well worth the price to me

Fits perfectly on the iPad. The magnetic connection is very strong. The iPad does NOT fall out of the folio--whoever says this doesn't actually have the first party case. It does increase battery drain, but only by a little bit. Use is very seamless and I personally like the keyboard feedback. It's very slim and looks like a regular folio. The quality of the materials is really nice as well. The keyboard is water-resistant, which has come in handy for me once. The folio protects the front and back of the iPad. It looks really good with the iPad, you can tell that Apple put lots of time into making it look nice combined with the iPad. The color is charcoal-gray, not black as it might look in the picture.Overall, I'm loving it. 5 stars.

This keyboard cover just saved my iPad from disaster! Like any normal person who forgets stuff, I put my iPad on the hood of my car while getting my wife into the car to go to the doctor. Getting onto the highway, speeding up to around 55 mph, I hear a loud crunch as the iPad hit the trunk then sailed onto the road. I watched in my rear view mirror as it landed on each corner before it opened and sent my iPad skidding across the road. I stopped, collected the cover and the iPad, fully expecting both to be trashed. HOWEVER, except for small damage on each corner of the cover, with only one corner slightly scratched metal (no glass breakage at all), I was shocked!!! The design and structural material of this keyboard is a champion on any scale! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And, oh by the way, I’m writing this report from the doctor’s office!

Apple products just work best on my IPad. Love the keyboard is there when I need it. And it protects my IPad from scrapes and bangs.

I know the Magic Keyboard with trackpad gets all the attention, but I didn’t wanna turn my iPad into a laptop. I have this thing where the iPad should remain an iPad. When I want to do more long form writing, like this review, I want to use a dedicated keyboard, (even though I have no problem typing on glass.) Having owned briefly the older version for the 10.5 iPad Pro, I was thinking this one would be similar, but I’m happy to say it’s a lot more sturdy. There’s no gap between the desk and the keyboard. And while the typing experience is a bit different than say a standard keypad, it still feels very responsive and “clicky”. People say it’s expensive, and lets be frank, it is. But, if you find it on sale in the next few days around Black Friday (as I did) it’s well worth the cost.I won’t always be using it because if it was, id probably just get a MacBook for more typing. But for the occasional typist or someone that wants to accessorize the iPad, this is a fine choice.

I was very excited to upgrade from an 11” iPad Air to the new 13” but immediately learned that though the device itself is lightweight, the keyboard options are not - including the Zagg Pro and the Apple Magic Keyboard. I read a lot of reviews about the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio and so was skeptical if it would work for me, especially given the negative comments about the typing experience. I type very fast and want a keyboard that feels good to type on and that can keep up with me. This keyboard offers both.
