Slow and not always accurate
I thought I found a real bargain because I wanted to save some money by not buying an Acaia scale like everyone else. A year later I’m sick of it and finally upgrading. As many others have said, it has a very slow response, sometimes slower than others. It will often lag and not pick up small increments 0.1-0.2grams, and then jump up .2-.4g once it doesn’t finally register. At least once a week I can put the dosing cup back on the scale (which should be zeroed out) and it’s not! It’s somewhere between .1-.4g off in either direction…it’s a simple test and should always match.Another minor complaint is the touch screen buttons and their terrible responsiveness. Often times I have to press the button several several times.Ultimately wish I just bought a higher quality scale to start and not deal with this.

Great scale for coffee snobs who don't need (or want to pay) for the perks of the Acacia
I'm a huge coffee snob, and my home pourover setup consisted of a baratza grinder, an electric bonavita kettle, a chemex, and.... a cheap $10 scale. It was clearly time for an upgrade, but I also felt like the Acacia Pearl scale, the ritzy $150 option with all this bluetooth functionality that I didn't need, was pretty overkill and pretty expensive. I did some research for options in between those 2 price points, and this was surprisingly the only contender. I was a little nervous that I hadn't seen many reviews for it, but decided to take the plunge and am VERY glad I did - I love this scale! This scale has reliable sensitivity down to 1/10th of a gram, and can switch between grams, ounces and lbs. Really that's all you need, but it comes with some additional perks that I super appreciate:- TIMER: the timer has a nice subtle beep at each even minute, so it's easy for you to mill about to kitchen and keep track of the timing for your coffee. It also lasts.. I want to say 10+min before automatically turning off, a major upgrade from many cheaper scales.- MATERIALS - while it's not SUPER luxe, the materials are pretty nice. I'm willing to pay more for a nicer material and experience, and I'm not unhappy with this. It also comes with a nice, easily-washable "cover" to keep your chemex/mug from touching the actual device and preserve it.- CHARGING - I've been using this to make coffee approx once a day, every other day since ordering it a few months ago. I just had to charge it for the first time (via normal USB cable) and it was pretty quick. Really happy I don't have to worry about tiny batteries, and that it charges so quickly & needs it so infrequently.TLDR, I highly recommend if you want something very nice and very functional, but don't need extended bluetooth functionality and/or want to pay a fraction of the price for something that is still highly functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Instructions & Review
This is a very attractive scale with simple buttons design. I liked the somewhat self-explanatory buttons (Timer, Tare, Measurement, Power). The toughest aspect for myself (and seemingly others) is function/directions. The merchant interaction was in English, but there were not any English instructions. As far as accuracy, it has some of the similar issues other coffee scales in this price range have -- if you don't have the item centered, you can get slightly varied readings. Overall, though, I'm able to dial in the right coffee by the gram and produce the kind of cup I need without the price of the fantastic-looking top notch brand(s). [If you're reading this, I'm sure you know the ones I'm referring to.]As far as instructions: We have not heard back from the company, but we finally found some online on another site selling this product in the overview area. I'm going to try to attach a couple of pics here. I know this is tough reading quality, but I'm hoping it's helpful.Tare Tip: When you Tare, touch the T button with enough pressure for it to register but not for as long as 3 seconds (which employs another function.) Pause for a moment after pressing to allow it to register. Powering it on with weight on it will automatically Tare to that weight and save a step.Best of luck out there with your Covid coffee brewing!

Low speed and responsiveness
This scale, on its exterior, looks very nice. It has a sleek body a nice looking interface where the weight and time reads out. However, the accuracy and responsiveness are pretty significantly lacking. When weighing out coffee beans, it will often lag and not pick up small (0.1-0.2g) changes, then all of the sudden jump up well past where it was stuck. The touch screen buttons are also not very responsive, I sometimes have to try a button upwards of 5 times to get it to respond.Overall this scale is less expensive than the traditional brew scale brands, but suffers in all the key areas by which scales are measured. I used this scale for 3 months before giving up and shelling out the money for an Acaia, and I won’t be turning back.

100% best choice for basic coffee scale
bar the acacia, this is an amazing scale. Prior reviews stated the instructions were not in english, but mine came only with english instructions, which were clear and excellent. Came earlier than expected. It's too big for weighing shots, but perfect for the intended use of pour overs and I use it for weighing out grounds/water for espresso and sometime general kitchen uses. it just works flawlessly and fits into the white tile of my kitchen in a satisfying way.

Good value and damn it looks good
Overall a very solid scale for this price. Start up time is fast and it detects changes faster than all the other scales I use for pourover. Looks way more expensive than it actually was. Also the moving part is under the entire cover which makes it waterproof, like the acaias. Guessing this is a black mirror knockoff without an app.Only downside I would say is that it drifts within .3 grams, which means it is not suitable for espresso. Good for what you get.

Beautiful Coffee Scale
I've been searching for a coffee scale, and after a lot of research decided to try the Hero scale. I use it for pour-over with my Chemex, and have found it not only easy to use, but accurate. I checked its accuracy with my weight set, and only when I got to 500 gm did I find any discrepancy, and that was only .1 gm. Perfect for what I need, rechargeable, and really nice looking. Highly recommend.
