These are nothing like the compatible ones. The compatible ones can safely be used on plastic. But they peel off cardboard and paper. The genuine ones are of top quality, great adhesion.

Good adhesive, surface quality, quality material

This is great for use with the Brother QL-570 and QL-500 label printers. People can use paypal shipping with this label paper. Paypal shipping requires you to have this kind of paper in order for your labels to print out of any brother label printer, I made the mistake of trying to use the DK-1202 Label Paper which is the same dimensions but not the same length and Paypal shipping wouldnt let me print out shipping labels without the DK-2205 Paper in my label printer. The DK-1202 is 2-3/7" x 4, the DK-2205 is 2-3/7" x 100' (which is the one that your soposed to use for paypal shipping) Dont confuse the two like I did :p as paypal shipping only lets you reprint the shipping label within 24 hours of creating it. I am a student who regularly sells books, old movies, old video games, and other stuff via the internet and hate waiting in long lines at the post office to send a package every once in a while. With this label paper and my Brother QL-570 & QL-500 Label printers I just print out the shipping label using paypal shipping and put the package into any mailbox thus avoiding the long lines at the post office.

I've used numerous generics and this original Brother tape is the best. However, there's a few things you should know... Do not put clear packing tape over the label as the thermal print may fade within a couple days! Try it with your preferred brand of tape but with both Duck and 3M, the print on the address label significantly lightened by the time it reached the customer, to the point that I was fortunate it was delivered at all. Another consideration is that they can "lift" off of cardboard. I've had a couple of packages get returned because the address lifted and came off in transit. I now put a layer of packing tape down first, under the label, and then slide the back of my fingernail firmly around the edges of label to make sure it sticks. Since then, I've shipped thousands of packages with these over the last few years with no further incidences. The generics tend to be a tad thinner and often stock better, but they don't age as well as the Brother take does. When I go through my inventory, bins labeled with Brother tape still have sharp black lettering. Most of the generics have faded over the past few years, some fading within a few months.

Exactly What Was Needed

We use the Brother QL-1110NWB primarily for postage paid mailing labels in our Etsy business. This smaller version with variable length is great for pricing our items when we "take them on the road" to craft fairs, gift shops, etc. Because the length is variable, we can make our label as short or as long as we wish without wasted space. Warning: this product has fantastic adhesion and does NOT peel off easily. We get around that problem by placing the price tag on our business card then attaching the card to the product.

These labels, along with the Brother QL-700 thermal label printer, have made the shipping task for our business so much easier. The shipping labels print out in seconds, and the self-adhesive labels are insanely easy to apply. Overall, I would say that we're spending slightly less than paper/ink/label holders, but the ease of use would make it worth it even if we were more expensive. NOTE: if you have a business that does high-volume shipping, get two or three of these at a time. If you're an eBay shipper like we are, each label is about 7.25" long, which gives a little over 160 labels. This goes a lot faster than you would think. We would usually go through at least one roll a month. Don't get caught off-guard: always have an extra roll handy.

was starting to worry about my label printer. labels were coming out faded. it's 5+ years old, so i figured, maybe these things happen. turns out, it was just the label stock. previous labels were an off brand. the price on the brother labels has come down a LOT. they used to be like $30, so i just got used to ordering generics. loving the brother labels. print no longer faded but a crisp, deep black. and they stick to the mailpiece--no games. generic labels would stick rather tenuously, and i felt compelled to use a little tape to make sure. at the lower price these are the right call.

Product is good but price is much higher

I absolutely love my QL-800 printer and bought this roll of continuous label to pair with the device. I absolutely LOVE this continuous label capability as it gives you FAR more control over the size of your prints. I can have very short labels (62mm wide) or much longer ones ... the choice is mine! Not being constrained to a particular height is a major bonus for me, so I think that I'll always keep a continuous roll on-hand.
