They work amazingly well. Went to frame a signed band poster and needed a way to secure the poster and center it in the matt, without putting any tape on it, which devalues any artwork. These are perfect, work very well and are very easy to use.

Really useful mounting strips. I don't like the idea of getting adhesive on my artwork and these allow me to mount illustration board inside of a mat easily without having to use tape on it. They are high quality and stick well. Would buy again.

I use these for mounting backgrounds to animation cels. They make a very good archival mount and can be cut in half, if the situation warrants it. I will either mount a laser color copy, an original watercolor background, or an archival acid-free foam colored background with these. One on the top of the sheet and one on the bottom is all that is needed, unless the paper is extremely thin. The mounts have a catch area in the first 1/16 inch or so of the foam backing where regular paper can be forced in for a friction fit. In most cases, though, just having the clear plastic covering the backing sheet is enough to keep it in place. Both the foam and the watercolor backgrounds are thick enough to fit under the plastic snugly. The strips are 4 inches wide, which is too much for all but the largest of backing sheets. I generally cut them into 2" pieces for mounting and have even had to snip off up to half of the glue surface because the mounted sheet is so close in size to the backing board. It can handle up to half of the glue pad removed without losing too much of its holding ability, especially after a top mat is place over it to keep it in contact with the back board. For my purposes, these strips are perfect. They not only hold the backing sheet to the back board, but they also force the mat on top of them to stand off by about 1/32" extra from the mounted sheet. This reduces the chance of adhesion between the sheets over time. In addition, I mount a lot of anime cels, which require an extra mat sheet behind them to keep an air space between the paint on the back of the cel and the background behind it. The mounting strips increase that space by a precious couple of millimeters. I have bought and used at least 6 boxes in the past year and find that they are expensive, but worth it in the long run.

The great points: 1. Acid free, so safe for Art and photographs 2. Peel and stick makes for easy assembly 3. Can be trimmed to fit The bad points: 1. Items being mounted will need a wide border or the tape will show. Over all not a bad product, just did not work for what I needed.

This item worked great for what I needed. I didn’t want to use anything that would actually stick to the artwork (which was a watercolor painting in this case.) The idea of attempting to use water-activated adhesives on a watercolor painting did not sit well with me. The frame I was using didn’t have strong enough metal clamps in back to seal the space between the matting and the back board, so the painting would slip when placed between them and the frame was hung up. I used two of these adhesion strips along the bottom of the back of the matting (just below the matting window opening) and the strips effectively created a shelf for the painting to sit on. The result was perfect and really easy to do, and knowing that I can take the painting out of the frame without having to “unglue” it from the matting helps me sleep at night.

I've tried various tapes and methods for mounting photos on mattes and in frames. This by far makes the most sense to me. It is completely non damaging to the photos which is nice for more expensive prints or if you like to change photos in and out. Allows photos to grow/shrink as needed. One box can mount many many photos.

I went to hang a nearly 25-year-old hand-drawn family portrait when I noticed the artwork was crooked inside of the frame exposing the old fabric tape that secured the art to the mat. I opened the frame to re-align the portrait but the tape had lost its adhesiveness. I ordered these to re-align the portrait and they worked perfectly. I cut 3-4 strips in half and, if necessary, trimmed as needed. I secured the portrait to the mat, cleaned the frame and glass and put it all back together. It looks fabulous, as good as new. A box of sixty strips was overkill for this particular job but I wanted something reliable and acid-free. The strips work very simple. There is a rigid clear had that goes over the art and a sticky half that secures the strip to the mat. No adhesive ever has to touch the artwork. The strips held the fairly large portrait in place perfectly as I reassembled the frame. I have total confidence that it will secure the art just as well or better than the tape that preceded it.

Great product and easy to use. Wish I'd discovered these years ago. What a difference mounting a photo or drawing using this system. Highly recommend. A+

Sehr gute Lösung um Poster/Kunstdrucke sicher und einfach hinter einem Passepartout zu befestigen ohne den Print selbst bekleben zu müssen. Die Stripes haben sehr gute Klebeeigenschaften. Es sind viele einzelne Strips, die bei Bedarf ganz einfach gekürzt werden können. Der Preis ist teuer, aber mit der Anzahl an Strips kommt man als Privatperson wahrscheinlich ein Leben lang aus.
