Stonewall Kitchen Fig and Walnut Butter, 12.75 Ounces

Wonderful taste. I ate so much apple butter when I was growing up. This caramel apple butter is especially tasty and the texture is good not grainy.

The Maple Pumpkin butter tastes good. I have purchased other products at their store and I have always been satisfied.

At this time of the year. I really appreciate products that highlight the taste of pumpkin. This product does it splendidly. I really enjoyed it topping my toasted everything bagel.

I was kind of disappointed in the taste and texture. It was sort of more liquid/runny and not creamy like a typical apple butter or other fruit butters. It did contain pieces of fig and nuts. The taste though was not figgy enough or something. It is hard to describe. I was expecting more of the dominant taste of fresh figs and nuts in a more creamy texture. Instead, this seemed maybe more like a dark wine-colored mix of liquid and fruit that was somewhat fig flavored but with other strong, mixed flavors as well. It was OK tasting for what it was, and I might use it as a filling or topping for scones, but it just was not for me.

This is a bit too sweet for me, and I like more spices, but that is easy to add. I tried this last night in a peanut butter dip I make from peanut flour/powder and Greek yogurt. To a cup of yogurt I added two tablespoons. It added a great taste to the dip. Next order I will see if they have a no sugar added version as I prefer to add my own sweeteners to my own taste. The pumpkin flavor was very good.
