We are proud to present this Hackaday.io branded Trinket Pro board. Just like the Hackaday 10-year Anniversay edition, these are also made by our friends over at Adafruit Industries. What the heck is a Trinket Pro board? At the core it's a breakout board for an ATmega328 microcontroller. The board has a micro-USB plug on one end, integrated voltage regulator, 16MHz crystal oscillator, and the chip is running a modified version of V-USB. This means it can be programmed via USB. You have a choice of programming with the Arduino IDE, using AVRdude with the "-c usbtiny" programmer flag, or flashing the chip directly with an AVR programmer (we use the AVR Dragon). Coming in at under ten bucks makes this a really easy choice for quick builds where space matters. The 1.5" by 0.7" board has through-hole plated breakouts for the pins around the edge making it an excellent base for free-formed circuits. The footprints on the back of the board make it simple to connect a battery (5v-15v input) to power your circuit.
