Not universal but can be used in 110 true 220v in my country(turkey) we use 220v and i do not have any problem about that. Great product, you should buy it.

Will this work in the US? Also does this have a trickle charge or auto shutoff?

It does work in US. I'm in IL and it works great! The charger will shut off onc it notices the battery is already charged.
