Great well organized First Aid Kit
I keep this First Aid Kit in my truck at all times. It has almost everything I need for emergency situation when I am traveling. The best part is that it is well organized and labeled. The last thing you want to be doing in an emergency situation is fumbling through a bag looking for the items you know you need. This kit puts labels on each pouch and has it organized with the type of emergency you might encounter. It also includes an easy to use emergency guide book and several items you don't normally see in a prebuilt emergency Kit. Highly recommend based on this.As far as quality, I have not been able to test the full waterproofness of the case yet but it seems to be hold up to getting water splashed with no water getting inside. Case also seems well built and like it will last me a long time. The company itself seems great too, my kit came with a free extra item (one of those credit card multitools) which has come in handy, as well as, an offer for another free item in the mail at no cost. They also reached out to me personally once I received my items to make sure I was satisfied with everything. It's very refreshing to see a company that goes above and beyond for the customers. I will definitely be purchasing more from Surviveware. The only con I see is the zipper can be hard to open quickly. I tried several times to quickly pull it open and it kept getting caught at the first turn. After a few tries it seems better. I don't know if that is because the zipper broke-in a bit or I just got used to the angle of holding it to make it work. This was only when trying to quickly open it as fast as I could. Under normal use it was fine. The one change I would do is have the words "FIRST AID" on the front with a more traditional first aid logo. I understand that most people will associate the red coloring and the first aid-ish cross shaped logo with a first aid kit but I have also had people see it and ask 'what is that?'. Having more traditional first aid kit identifiers might make this a more effective in emergencies.

Rugged, Durable and COMPLETE !!
We bought the Surviveware Waterproof First Aid Kit for on our boat. If you are reading this you are researching Waterproof first aid kits (we were in the same position as you doing our research). Probably like us, you've looked at several others maybe not even waterproof, and seeing the price tag compared to 90% of the others and wondering... We came back several times to this one, looking at others, looking at the company website and a range of other things. With one question in mind .. is it worth it .. YES !!Let's start with the quality of the case, RUGGED / DURABLE and WATERPROOF. Its small enough to store and carry around (it won't fit in your pocket like some other that are pictured bigger than they are). Reviews have mentioned the zipper... please its waterproof, its snugger to open than a normal zipper but with some wax or chap stick its relatively easy to open. The inside has clearly labeled compartments for all included first aid accessories. There is also an area for personal and other medications. All well laid out and easy to access. Then the contents; its very complete. We read reviews of it not containing items such as ointments, pills and other PERISHABLE items. These are picked up for a few dollars at your local pharmacy or supermarket and you know you have YOUR brand and they will still have a long shelf life. However the items included are not your typical as cheap as it can get items that we saw in other kits. High quality band-aids, gauze and other items are included that you know will work (we have all seen the band-aids that don't even stick) when you need them !Its an absolutely First Class First Aid Kit and would definitely recommend.

Excellent product and company
About six months ago I decided to upgrade the first aid kit in my short time survival bag. I began comparing many of the kits here on Amazon and then came across Surviveware and liked their products and decided to purchase their large kit. Since that purchase I have been very happy with the product and actually had a incident where I had to use it. I then started communicating with the company on their other products and noticed they were now producing a waterproof first aid kit. About that same time I started to put together a bag for my wife and decided to take a look at this kit and decided that it was the one we needed. It arrived a week ago and I started testing the waterproof claims and sunk it my bath for about 20 min and no leaks. I did notice that when I would squeeze the bag underwater I could see bubbles escaping from the bag and was concerned that it was leaking. But when I opened it I noted that the inside of the bag was completely dry. I determined that the bag was actually allowing air out but not allowing water in. The bag is very well constructed though out. When the kit arrived I had a hard time unzipping it but finally was able to get it open. Since then it has gotten easier and having the D rings makes it easier to open and close. As with my large Surviveware kit I will be customizing it with several additional items (i.e. Israeli bandage, CAT tourniquet Celox, personal medications). The bag has several ways to attach it to other devices and allows you to attach items to the bag itself (CAT tourniquet). The last but most important is that the kit has a very comprehensive first aid guide to assist you in the event you need direction. Some of the things I would change:1. The kit comes with a pencil. I would swap that with a pen and a permanent marker.2. I would add an additional pair of tweezers that have a smaller/sharper end.3. Add personal medications (this is something I feel that the purchaser should do as the list of medications could be varied and large).

This kit is great, even if you are not going to be around a body of water.
I like this first aid because no matter where I go, by the ocean, a river or just hiking through the mountains, I know that the important items in my first aid kit are going to stay dry no matter what. The build quality on this kit is A+. The zipper is a little tricky at first, but if you lube it up (lube included) it will be fine. One of the best features about this pack is that all of the pouches are labeled, so in a situation where you need to get first aid materials quickly you know where everything is, you wont have to take everything out to find what you are looking for. One of my favorite things about this kit is the Velcro attached molle on the back of the pack. You can easily secure it to anything and quickly tear it away when you need it. I keep mine attached to the back of my rear headrest in my car.The size of the pack is good, If i was going on a quick day hike, I do not think I would take it with me. I like to travel light and this is something I would leave at my campside/home base. For a good day hike Surviveware has smaller sized packs that will do just fine.Overall I would recommend this first aid kit, is has the essentials and will be a huge help if you ever find yourself in the situation of needing basic first aid supplies. Don't forget to replace whatever you use! And if you use anything while you are on a hike don't litter, bring a small bag with you to carry out whatever you bring in.

A lifesaver of a product
The organization of the medkit is phenomenal. You can carry it with you anywhere. The size makes it convenient for camping traveling or in case of an emergency. Safety doesn't have to expensive or stressful.

Lots of stuff, and water proof.
This is one of those items you buy, hoping you'll never need to use it. Not many things have that quality. It's like memorizing 911—you spend all that time committing it to memory, and are quite happy if you never need to use it. Unlike algebra. Everyone needs algebra when they leave school, don't they? This kit goes with me on every kayak trip I make. It's full of essentials, and as a bonus, they also sent me a small flashlight (post-purchase) as a thank you. I should point out that that bonus gift was NOT a treat for writing a review; it was a 'thank you for purchasing our product' type thing. The case is a little tough to open, but that is due to the zipper being water proof, as it the case itself, though the zipper does have a nice big t-shaped handle to make it easier (nice touch). Safety scissors, tweezers, bandages, gauze, gloves... you know what? Just read the description instead. They have added a 'personal' section, into which I did add a few extras: for obvious reasons it doesn't come with medication of any sort (think paracetamol, anti histamine, etc.), and I did add a small blood-clot bandage, because I can see me getting out of my boat and catching my leg on something I didn't see—that ain't going to be a scratch!Just buy it. And I hope it's a complete waste of money and you never have to use it. Because that's far better than needing it and not having it.Stay safe!

First Aid Kit promotes finding the correct item FIRST!
Ok, upon opening the box from Amazon, my initial impression was: Wow, nice construction, solid. The exterior material feels substantial, appropriate for a medical kit that will last a long time. Keeping in mind we are typically only going to buy a few-several medical kits in our lifetime. Surviveware, to me, seems like the only one to get.We are keeping it in our boat bag (aka, ditch bag) - if someone slips, trips or falls. Get’s stung by a bee, or gets a deep cut, we are prepared. We added our own Recon Tourniquet to the kit and now feel prepared for most boating/hiking type accidents. The tourniquet fits neatly inside the bag and still allows it to zip as if it were not there.True - customer service, is 1st Class. Enuff said. The labeling of each area inside the bag made me feel like I could find the correct item, fast! Our daughter, a critical care nurse, was looking through the kit on our last boat trip and she blurted out, “Dang, this thing has got everything you need!”. Which brought a smile to my face - YES!! I picked the right one.If you’re on the fence between this and the cheaper competitors unlabeled bag, GET THIS! In a time critical situation you will be thankful!

Must have for any emergency preparedness
Full disclosure: This is not my first kit from Surviveware. My first kit has pretty much been my on-the-go kit. I keep it in my Jeep and it has dealt well with the summer heat here in FloridaFor starters, I can't say enough about Surviveware's customer service. They come across as a family owned and operated company who put a lot of heart and soul into their products. To this date, when you buy this product, you can expect genuine concern about your satisfaction with itI bought this kit because, when I'm on the go, there is nothing at home for the event of an emergency. We live in Hurricane capital and I decided to give this kit a go, mostly for the water-resistant capabilitiesI ran some tests on this kit first to confirm the claims. At first, I tested it's buoyancy to make sure it would float. Kept it there with the zipper portion down. It held wellThen I completely submerged the kit in the sink for 30 seconds or so and watched for bubbles as a sign of water penetration... nothingOpened it up and it was nice and dry. Just like the first kit, each item is individually wrapped in zip lock bags. Some, such as the cotton balls use normal bags that won't reseal once opened, which you shouldn't do anywayThe water-tight zip might be a bit awkward for some people, just keep that in mindIn all, I love this product. My only wish is that it also came in black
