Best, warmest gloves on the market. They run very small!
Love these gloves! Bought to replace an older pair that I lost last ski season. I thought I would fit in a medium since my hands were on the smaller side of the range (actually, the sizing guide shows me at the high end of size small), but the medium was super cramped and uncomfortable. For reference, my hands are 8.25" girth around the knuckles and 7.75" long, and I have pretty skinny fingers. Maybe the medium would have packed out and felt larger at the end of a season, but it was hard to move my fingers and each one felt squeezed. The large feels snug as well. I tried many different pairs of gloves on the mountain before settling on my first pair of these. They are incredibly warm, even on the coldest days. There's no room for hand warmers, but you won't need them. The cuffs fit inside my coat sleeves, which have adjustable Velcro, so with that setup you get a good snow-proof and airtight seal. The leather is tough and durable, and shouldn't tear as long as you are just skiing/riding and not using these for work gloves. There's also a little soft suede area to wipe your runny nose.

Yes, at first they seem small but read on
I bought a pair of these years ago when they only had one model. Excellent gloves. Skiied with them for many years and still have them. Go to gloves on very cold days. I thought I would get a second pair as my other ski gloves are not that warm. Many reviews I read said they ran small. I ordered the same size I had before and when they came, I could hardly get my hand into them. So I was going to send them back for a larger size. But I gave them a second and third wearing any yes, they eventually started to fit pretty much like my old pair. My advice is to go with your regular size and give them a chance. They will stretch to the right size.

High quality craftsmanship
Absolutely awesome gloves! The fit is exactly perfect. When you order, please follow the sizing guide. Do not tighten the measuring tape around your hand, but keep it just snug. If your size is at the outer (upper) limit, you should probably size up on the gloves. As these are leather, the fit is like second skin. So even though they are padded as described, expect them to fit very close to your hand like skin. The price is higher than other gloves you see that appear comparable, but you get quality that I can tell is going to last. I've worn Dakine and Burton, and used to think their quality was tops. Although good, these gloves make those look like budget gloves. That is saying a lot.

Quality winter glove
Keeps your hands warm as long as you're active. I've worn them here in central Maine during winter snow storms with temps down to -5 with and WCF down to -15 so far this season, and my hands were kept warm, again, as long as I was fairly active. When outside setting still, my hands would still get cold, but not freezing. These are bulky and you certainly can't do anything that requires much manual dexterity or fine motor skill, but they are good to wear shoveling snow, snow blowing, or driving to work on those cold winter mornings. It is difficult to pull zippers, button coats, etc., with these on.

Warmest gloves I have ever worn!
I am an avid skier and often deal with cold fingers. I just got these gloves and skied with them today and they are the warmest gloves I have ever worn. Warmer than my Hester’s even with Hot Hands heater packs. They run small. Order at least one size larger.

for winter gloves one would like them a little big instead of a little small
XL wasn't big enough for me. for winter gloves one would like them a little big instead of a little small. In fairness alot of glove manufactures try to get by with too few sizes. Hestra are pricey but they do make a size 12 which works for me. I guess I will have to go back to them. Quality of the BD gloves seemed good not exceptional.

Super warm and water proof, Love black diamond!!
I commute to work year round. I live in northern Michigan. The last pair of gloves I bought from black diamond was over 15 years ago. Still work great. I will always buy there gloves and mittens.

Durable
These are great gloves for most Alaska homestead chores, and dog mushing. Most other brands fall apart in the first few days. These are the most durable.

I'd read all about the warmest (non-battery powered) ski gloves in the world, Black Diamond Guide (Pro series), then I found them reasonably priced on Amazon (AUD$160 or USD$105), so I took the plunge. And boy am I happy that I did. After skiing my entire life (I'm 50) with middle of the road gloves, I decided to spend some money on my hands, which can tend to get frosty on super cold days, or sitting on the chair lift in a blizzard. Not any more ** These things are seriously warm** I bought a LARGE as I'm usually a MEDIUM and that was a great choice too. I did read they were stiff at the start, but that's not true at all. As soon as you liberally apply the waterproof wax (which comes with these gloves in a sachet) the gloves are soft and supple. I used the whole sachet in one go. I've got 4 pairs of very average gloves, which sadly cost more than these gloves. Do it. You'll wonder why you waited so long. I'm a slow learner sometimes...

These were a Christmas gift and after one wear the seam opened on the finger and there’s a hole. Not impressed and they are not BLACK DIAMOND brand - just noticed they are Gordini! Do not buy these gloves !!!!!!

I ride my bicycle to work in sub-zero celsius weather and could not find gloves that would keep my hands warm. I have poor circulation and skinny fingers, so keeping my hands warm is a difficult task. These do the trick. And I have no trouble changing gears and using the brakes with the gloves on. They are so well made that it's a pleasure to wear them every time.
