The Weeknd's sophomore studio album Beauty Behind The Madness was released in 2015 and features the #1 hits "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills." Review: ## Beauty Behind the Madness: A Vinyl Essential - This Beauty Behind the Madness vinyl is an absolute treasure for any The Weeknd collector! The striking yellow and black split color vinyl perfectly complements the dark aesthetic that defined this pivotal era in Abel's career. As a super fan who's collected all of his releases, this album holds a special place in my collection. Beauty Behind the Madness represents a crucial moment in The Weeknd's evolution - the perfect balance between his underground origins and his emergence as a global superstar. Tracks like "The Hills," "Can't Feel My Face," and "Often" sound incredible on vinyl, with the analog format bringing out the richness in the production that digital streams simply can't capture. The warm sound quality highlights the intricate production details throughout the album. The bass resonates with perfect depth, and Abel's haunting vocals float through the mix with remarkable clarity. Each spin reveals new subtleties in Michael Jackson-influenced tracks that showcase why The Weeknd has become the defining voice of his generation. For collectors, this isn't just about owning music—it's about preserving a milestone album that helped redefine modern R&B and pop. The packaging quality and attention to detail make this a standout piece in any vinyl collection. If you're a dedicated Weeknd fan or simply appreciate groundbreaking artistry, this record absolutely deserves prime placement in your collection. I've played this countless times, and the experience only gets better with each listen. Highest recommendation possible! Review: This thing is awesome - I literally love this album so much and I'm so happy I have the vinyl XO

Another great album from The Weeknd
I discovered The Weeknd a few years back before he really got very famous and I loved his beautiful songs and his very specific style. You will like him if you do enjoy a combination of infrabass rhythms and nice melodies. 1- Real life (4 stars) This is a catchy tune with the beautiful voice of the Weeknd. 2- Losers (feat. Labrinth) (4 stars) Another catchy tune with the feat of Labrinth and the brass instruments towards the end. 3- Tell your friends (5 stars) Beautiful song… Exactly what I love with him… His voice supported by a base of Bass and most of the melody coming from him. 4- Often (4 stars) Not the most memorable song but definitely in the line of TW’s production. 5- The Hills (5 stars) Another perfect combination of the Infrabasss and TW’s voice. 6- Acquainted (4 stars) Not the most memorable song but definitely in the line of TW’s production. 7- Can’t feel my face (5 stars) Another hit song from The Weeknd. 8- Shameless (4 stars) Not the most memorable song but definitely in the line of TW’s production. 9- Earned it (Fifty Shades of Grey) (5 stars) I am not sure how related it is to the movie but it sounds very good. 10- In the night (5 stars) Another hit song from The Weeknd. It is somehow reminiscent of Michael Jackson. 11- As you are (4 stars) Not the most memorable song but definitely in the line of TW’s production. 12- Dark Times (Feat Ed Sheeran) (5 stars) Nice duet between the two. 13- Prisoner (Feat Lana Del Rey) (5 stars) Another very nice duet. 14- Angel (5 stars) A great song to finish this magnificent album. In conclusion: Averaging the rating for each song gives me a score of 4.57 (rounded up to 5). Highly recommended album.

An Awakening Of Pure Talent In The Weeknd's Madness
I had never heard of The Weeknd until about a month ago. I, obviously, have been living under a rock. My discovery of The Weeknd happened while listening to some music at work. My colleagues had requested some songs, so I picked some, and let YouTube find a good playlist from that. As we are listening to music, I notice some songs that sounded vaguely familiar, and that there was just something about them. It turns out the songs I happened to like were from the same artist, "The Weeknd", as the main talent or guest artist. I told my colleagues, "Who is this guy? He's like on *every* song, and every song he's in is good". It wasn't until the 'Fifty Shades of Gray' Soundtrack came out that solidified me in becoming a fan of The Weeknd. I rarely buy physical albums anymore, and say what you will about the movie, but the soundtrack is an entirely different animal. It's *the* best soundtrack of 2015, hands down, and The Weeknd has two songs on it, one of which is included on this album: 'Earned It'. I cannot tell you how many times I have listened to this. If you don't know him by name, you may know The Weeknd by some of his collaborations: with Sia in 2013's 'Elastic Heart' as featured in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' soundtrack, and with Ariana Grande in 'Love Me Harder' ; two very unique songs. This album has some great songs. Some of my favorites are: (1) Real Life - the opening number that sets the tone of the album (5) The Hills - a dark, unique song (7) Can't Feel My Face - good Max Martin-produced pop piece (9) Earned It - the Grammy winning stunner from the 'Fifty Shades of Gray' soundtrack (10) In The Night - *very* Michael Jackson-esque There is just something about his music that can't really be fully described. Neither am I sure where to categorize his music, but I think with any great artist, you can't. He does a lot of genres, and they're all gold when The Weeknd touches them. Recommended. *** UPDATE *** This album had seven Grammy nominations, with wins noted below: 'Beauty Behind The Madness' (album) • Album of the Year • Best Urban Contemporary Album - WINNER 'Earned It' (single) • Best R&B Performance - WINNER • Best R&B Song • Best Song Written for Visual Media 'Can't Feel My Face' (single) • Best Pop Solo Performance • Record of the Year

If the publicity garnered is in any way indicative of an artist's relevance and success, then The Weeknd will soon become a household name. Following on from his No. 1 smash "Can't feel my face", and recent blazing - literally - performance at the VMAs, The Weeknd presents "Beauty behind the madness". Evidently, it is not only his most accessible set so far, but, also, a compelling crossover album. Sonically, it is a much bigger departure from his past work than most of his older fanbase would like it to be. Abel Tesfaye (real name), not the same self-destructive, depressed 20 year-old anymore, but now in a better place, is true to himself and remains consistent. The material is raw and honest, the production always on point, the lyrics still dark and cynical, the delivery mesmerising and haunting as ever. With many references to his previous work, this is hardly the watered-down generic pop album all those negative comments over the internet are speculating. Real artists are supposed not to ever sit stagnant. No legendary artist made music that sounded the same. The Weeknd is experimenting, expanding, opening himself to a new demographic. It is all about progress. He is, also, trying to become monumental. He sure has all it takes to become a contemporary megastar. In fact, with this very record he gives traditional pop a foundational makeover, one that has not happened since the times of Prince and Michael Jackson! His sound is radically different; but his message has not changed, only the way it is delivered. Still suicidal, sassy, sensual and scandalous, but always seductive and startling, The Weeknd's "Beauty..." looks set to soar.
