NORMALLY CLOSED 12VDC DC PRESSURE SWITCH SENDER
This unit was tested and found to have continuity ("on") between the terminal and metal case in a "normal" unpressurized condition - such as when there is no oil pressure. The unit opens (breaks the circuit / "off") when pressurized. It works as a "perfect" (like-for-like) replacement to a "stock" oil pressure warning sender on my small block Chevy 327 - the original was found to have developed a leak. It arrived quickly and in a factory AC-Delco box. Although it came with thread sealant on the end, I used a bit of Teflon thread compound. I also suggest one consider using a socket dedicated to fitting these senders for installation and removal. It fit up and worked right, as expected for OEM. This is a preliminary review: I reserve the right to revise my review if it develops an issue.

Worked for my 65 impala with idiot lights & a SBC. Part was made in Mexico. Says AC delco so I’m sure it’s better than paying double at the parts house.

It wasn't listed as a replacement for my Case 680E backhoe but is the same exact size and it works perfectly. Not sure why it lists 5V as operating voltage, the backhoe operates on 24V (but has a resistor in series). It's normally closed so (idiot light bulb will be on when turning ignition key to position 1, and once the oil pressure builds up the switch goes to open state and light bulb indicator turns off.
