Spirou and Fantasio in a classic iteration of the long running series.
Love this series. Classic Belgian adventure/comedy series. Fast paced story and marvelous art.

DON"T BUY! NOT PROPERLY FORMATTED!
While this is supposed to be a Kindle edition, it is not formatted for the Kindle and cuts the right side and bottom off of each page. Thus it is unreadable! I was looking forward to reading this and others in the series, but now I will avoid them all. DO NOT BUY!!!

yet believable thanks to the wonderful work of Tome
Totally crazy, yet believable thanks to the wonderful work of Tome. I totally recommend these books as an introduction to Belgian comics

Thoroughly entertaining but incomplete
This is Part 1 of a new Spirou and Fantasio adventure; the second and concluding part is presented in Valley of the Exiles; so, Running Scared and Valley of the Exiles should be bought together. As with most of the other Spirou and Fantasio volumes, the story is good and the humor is clever, making this volume worth reading. I do have some reservations:1. As with the other Tome and Janry productions of Spirou and Fantasio, the graphics are loaded with darker rather than brighter colors. The graphics are also cluttered. This contrasts sharply with the clean, simple, bright, and much nicer graphics in the Tintin comics.2. The distorted representation of the speech of the locals is not funny.Part 2, Valley of the Exiles, is more adventure than humor.
