Would you need two of these pans for a recipe so you don't have to refill one pan.

Yes, I would buy 2. All 6 cavities together will hold 4 cups of batter, meaning approx. 2/3 cup of batter per bundtlette. If you have an 8-cup bundt cake recipe, that will use 2 pans perfectly. Mine was a 12-cup recipe, but still only bought 2 pans--they are a bit unwieldy to need to store all 3, so I compromised with 2. Hope this helps!

Question 2

Can these be used for individual ice cream scoops?   I love my large one and thought it might be fun to freeze ice cream scoops too?

I would line them individually with saran wrap before I put the ice cream in it.  Unless you have another way to make sure it comes out.  Sounds like a very fun idea.

Question 3

If I use a regular full size bundt rum cake recipe, how many of these mini pans will it fill?

Accepted Answer

The mini pan holds 4 cups batter creating 6 items.  If you mean a 12 cup bundt pan.  That would be 18 items and you would fill the pan 3 times.If you mean a 10 cup bundt pan.  That would be 15 items.  The formula: cup size volume of large pan divide by 4 cups (size of mini pan).  This will tell you how many time to fill the pan. Multiply this number by 6 (number of items in the mini pan).  This will tell you how many items you will get.  Hope all this helps.

Question 4

Will one six-bundltlette pan hold all the batter from a regular box of prepared cake mix?

I don't use prepared cake mix so I can't give you an answer about that specifically. I can tell you that each bundlette cavity holds about 3/4 cup of batter. What you can do if you are using a prepared cake mix is to fill each cavity no more than 3/4 full (if you overfill then it will spill over when baking and be very difficult to remove the baked cakes from the pan). With the leftover batter, bake however many cupcakes you get out of it, depending on the size of your muffin pans.
