What is the cord lengh

As per the Tefal website the cord length is 1.6m

Does anyone elses make a tapping/knocking noise when use the extra steam button?

Mine does make an unusual noise for a few seconds when pressing the button for steam. I guessed it was the pump which according to the manual I found works at a pressure of 2 Bar. The noise doesn't go on for long so maybe pointing to the pump which will switch off when it reaches the correct pressure.
