Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream, 16 Ounce

I am an African-American woman with 4B/4C combination hair. This product is excellent. People are giving it low reviews, because they have the wrong expectations! Please stop- sit down- and take several seats! (kidding of course) I'm sure women with similar hair texture are looking for what I 'stopped' looking for- a product that will give me curls. If your hair texture is kinky-coily (4B/4C) a cream will NOT give you curls...I'm sorry. Shed your tears & have a funeral for that thought. I was sad too. Embrace your kinky-coily hair girl! For those with lose curl patterns this curl defining cream with define their curls. But for us kinky-coily girls.........it has another benefit- so don't give up hope just yet! If your a kinky-coily sister such as myself this product still has amazing benefits. It is the BEST moisturizer I have come across. Trust me- I've wasted enough money for the both of us honey! When included in a good hair regimen Ms. Jane Carter will keep your hair moisturized- which is critical. This is the only curl defining cream I've found that does that for us. My regimen: I usually co-wash (wash my hair with conditioner instead of shampoo b/c that helps it to retain moisture). I use the LOC METHOD. LOC = liquid, oil, cream. My liquid is always water. If I'm moisturizing my TWA (tinnie-winnie-afro) on a non-wash day I spritz my hair with a water bottle that has a little extra virgin cold pressed olive oil. For my OIL I use avocado oil (Sometimes I use olive oil, coconut oil, or jojoba oil). My hair loves those oils. You can figure out what works best for you. Now for my CREAM I use Ms. Carter's Curl Defining Cream. Do this and poof- dry hair no more. Warning- if you have lose curls this will be too much moisture for your hair. This doesn't take long. I have everything below my sink. Not to confuse you, but I make my own body butter with natural oils and usually use it in combination with my avocado oil...... One last piece of advice.....IF YOU HAVE TIGHT KINKY-COILY HAIR EMBRACE IT! IT'S BEAUTIFUL! Stop trying to do what women with lose curls do. I won't even charge you for this information.... you're welcome! HaHa

I love this stuff! I have a protein sensitivity and most hair care products for curly hair have whey protein or other types of protein added to them but this product does not. It's not a thick cream and doesn't weigh your hair down also doesn't flake. It makes my hair soft, moisturized and has a non-greasy look. What I don't like is that it isn't that great at taming my frizz or forming my curls. Because of this, I pair this product with Kinky Curly Curling Custard (which is a gel). I have to use both because the Kinky Curly makes my hair a bit crunchy and gives it more of a greasy look but it's great at taming frizz and forming my curls. I have a range of textures from 3a to 3c in my hair and I usually will either wear my hair in a wet and go style or twist at night for a dry curl style.

This product is great for people who are transitioning from relaxer to natural hair or just as a great moisturizer. For natural hair it brings out the curl and waves in your hair with a small amount of build up. It does not leave your hair stiff or crunchy like other curly wave products. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good curly wave moisturizer. It also smells great.

I love this stuff! I’m African American with 3C hair. I’ve tried everything Shea moisture, Miss Jessie’s, kinky curly and nothing works as good as this. I have a mixture of curly and straight and this actually makes the straight parts curly. It makes my hair very moisturized. I get many compliments on my curly hair, even more than when it’s straightened. This is good stuff. I really like this seller and the product. It’s hard to find the Jane Carter curl defining cream in the large size, but they have it. It works really well for 3c hair without having to add a million other products to your hair along with it. This one product is all that is needed.

I absolutely LOVE this Jane Carter product. It works wonders for my hair & smells amazing. I'm giving this review 3 stars though because the container the product comes in was cracked on the bottom when I got it. The stuff leaks everywhere & wont come out of the pump anymore, which can be really frustrating.

WOW! I've been avoiding these products because of the cost, but after trying other products and having meh results, I thought I'd take a chance. I get to keep my curls and I appreciate the length. The curl definition stays without drying out and it's not to heavy for my thin hair. I think my hair is a 3c, my hair is a definite corkscrew when washed. There's a nice sheen without it being greasy or weighing my hair down. I'm happy to read that I can use it a few times before washing. I did braid my hair, but I don't think I have to, so next time I'll just try to wash and go.

Gave this one star instead of 0 because I appreciate the natural ingredients, however, I bought this to moisturizer my hair and to reduce frizz. I was hoping it would leave my curls soft and shiny without being greasy. It left my hair dull and while it didn't look greasy it did not look shiny. Too expensive as a leave in cream that does not do what I need.

The whole Jane Carter collection is just wonderful! I mostly love it because of its natural ingredients, I am trying to live overall a more natural life style, and the products fits it perfectly! I am of mixed race, half black half white, and trying to grow out my hair without doing "the big chop" after years of using chemicals. Once I started using it in conjunction with other products in this collection , it seemed to bring out my natural curl more, which I have never scene before ( as long as I can remember my hair has always been heat treated to make it straight). I do wish it was a little cheaper but the quality is worth the price!

I have searched high and low for a product like this! It leaves your hair well moisturised throughout the whole day. I have used just about every single curl defining cream on the market and this is by far the best. It defines curls and leaves your hair thoroughly moisturised. I was apprehensive at first as this was a little bit higher in price than I normally pay, but it is worth every penny, and I will be purchasing more. Does not leave any residue, does not make the hair crunchy, and there is no build up. Love it!

Love this product so much it leaves my hair looking shiny and pretty! There are NO dried up bits in my hair either! Jane Carter all the way! Use a den man brush to comb thro to activate those curls!!

An excellent product and does what is says on the tin. I love it as it truly is a superior product.
