I adopted a 2-year-old Labradoodle who was never leash trained. She weighs 80 pounds so I figured if a bridle worked for my 1200-pound horse this Halti Headcollar would work for her and it works great! We now walk with ease, and she follows direction.

Love love love this Halti lead. I was never able to walk our big guy with his pulling. Now we are able to go places and walk with ease.

I bought this to help train my dog how to walk. Not the best quality—keep in mind I have a 50lb pitt—but for the purpose of training him how to walk it was perfect.

This seemed to be the perfect solution to pulling on the leash for the first few minutes I had it on the dog. Once he decided he really didn't like it, he somehow slipped the nose piece into his mouth and bit it in two in a nanosecond. I'm not condemning the product; it just wasn't the right choice for a dog who is a houdini at escape and a confirmed chewer.

If you have a leash reactive puller I’d say to be highly careful with this, the snout part broke off when a dog snuck up on us and she almost broke loose. Really disappointed.

My 60lb lab "puppy" was pulling like a freight train and I was getting hurt. I stopped walking him in public because it was becoming increasingly difficult. The difference this equipment has made in leash training is nothing short of remarkable.

My 70lb standard poodle pulls, lunges, and barks at other dogs and people while on walks. I tried a couple of front clip harnesses which helped slightly with the pulling but not the lunging. On the very first walk using this gentle leader he stayed close to my side and it was easy to draw his attention back to me when he wanted to lunge. The head piece is delicate and lightweight making it comfortable. He does try to take it off sometimes but treats make him forget :-)The leash is durable and the double hook system is amazing. Allows you to control the dog at both the head and the body - ingenious!! I use it with a simple front clip harness rather than a neck collar as he seems to like that better. Overall could not be happier!!

Stop my dog pulling, which is annoying on a walk

Great product, well made above all it helps stop our dog pulling during walks.

I bought this one when I realized that my dog was ripping the seam of the last head collar we had for her. This one doesn’t tighten around the muzzle when she tries to pull like the other one. It’s fitted to her muzzle and she can still freely move her jaw and pant even when she does try to pull. It still corrects her but it doesn’t feel like a punishment. She doesn’t even try to take it off like she did the old one so I know it’s better for her. I love that it clips to her collar because she’s a reactive girl and her last one came off once and she ran off at the park and then we had to catch her. With this attaching to the collar I’m not worried that she’ll be able to run off in a place where it would be unsafe. Much better than the original halti.
