The fan on my MacBook Air model A1370 was making a lot of noise. I purchased this tool kit online on Monday morning and it arrived Tuesday afternoon. Had all the right tools to open the case, disconnect cables, and remove screws around the fan. Turns out the fan shroud was slightly bent (I think my daughter dropped it recently, but she won't admit to it, lol). I was able to use one of the tools from the kit to bend it back. Replaced all the parts and the back cover and the computer was quiet as ever. Apparently, this kit also has the right pentalobe screwdriver to open my iPhone 5; not that I need to right now, but nice to know I can. For this price, you can't beat this little tool kit. The plastic case with Velcro closure is a little bit cheap, but no way I can complain about it. Definitely a good investment for Mac and iPhone owners!

So, I feel like MacGuyver. But only because I feel like I can go and fix anything now! I am technically inclined, this is true so this isn't really out of my neck of the woods, but this kit is so good I have been taking apart stuff that worked perfectly fine just so I could use it. Example, my MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPod, heck I've even went to work and started charging packs of gum to replace my co-workers cracked iPhone rear glass panels (yes, I know I'm a cheap date). The kit works very well. The spudgers are high quality and definitely not of the "use me once and toss" variety. Everything from separating keyboard tabs to logic board ribbons has been a breeze with this inexpensive kit. I purchased this kit after spilling Chicken Noodle Soup on my MacBook Pro. (I welcome your sympathy.) I did not have a tool small enough to unscrew the tiny screws on the computer. This set has a variety of tools and sizes and I had no problem getting the screws out. Once inside, the battery was also screwed down and yes, there was also the correct tool for that in the kit too. I used a magnifying glass to identify the correct tool for the screw. The kit is not labeled and arrived with all the pieces neatly packaged together. For the price, this kit is good enough for the home user who will open the computer occasionally. It is not heavy duty or professional grade but definitely good enough for someone who just needs to get a Mac open. I had taken my computer to "the Geniuses" and the repair person flat out LIED and said only Apple had the tool to remove the battery and wanted to charge more than half the cost of a brand new computer to replace a part. My computer is still slow running programs due to the spillage but at least I could get inside the computer and poke around myself and see if I could tinker around with it before deciding my next move. The kit arrived the a day early and same day of my busted visit to the Geniuses so I was very happy.

Great product! This will come in very handy if my MacBook Pro ever needs repairs or anything like that. It was also nice having the Sim ejector tool for when I got my new phone. The screws will come in handy if I ever lose one of the original screws on my computer, if I need to change the battery or something. Overall I would recommend this especially since it comes with its own carrying case.

I have absolutley no experience with fixing computers whatsoever but I am a college student who needs to save every dollar I can. When I wanted to replace my DVD drive after 5 years of service I learned that the part itself wasnt so bad (about $30)but that apple wanted 75$ just to replace it! So I saw this tool set and watched a a "do-it-yourself" youtube video and I decided to go for it. It was so easy!! Its true that the tools are not of the best quality material BUT they get the job done, you just have to be gentel and be patient when using them so you dont strip any screws. If I can do it you can too! This 13$ set saved me 75$$$!!! (plus that extra confidence boost from doing something yourself!) I highly recommend it!
