Plasti Dip Black Multi-Purpose Rubber Coating Spray, 11 oz Aerosol Cans, Pack of 2 (22 oz Total)

I bought Plasti-dip for the mirrors on my motorhome. The mirrors are aftermarket, and come on an extended aluminum bracket that was so poorly painted it was flaking off and leaving oxidized aluminum underneath (the one photo of the base of the mirror shows what it was looking like). As well, the actual mirrors backs were a horrible cream color. I'm not sure if they were white and the sun had made them change color, or if somebody thought an off-white brown color would look good on a motorhome. Anyway, I ran a wire wheel on the aluminom to get off the paint that was coming off anyway, and left some of the old white coating where it wasn't weathered. I didn't really care about finish, and it certainluy shows I didn't under the plastidip. But the Plastidip went on well, and I did it in a bunch of light coats just like spray paint. It was easy to spray on and dried reasonably fast between coats. I was done in a short afternoon. I put the mirrors away to dry, and after a week went to put them on. I am surprised by the weird texture Plastidip leaves. It simply feels weird, almost wet, but it's not. Either way, it seems durable enough. I put the mirrors on, and they do look much better. For a cheap and easy solution to painting both plastic and oxidized aluminum, this worked great. I was able to touch up areas that I had missed easily enough after I had installed them. Some got on the mirror surface, and it came off reasonably easy with a razor blade. I can see how this would peel off. I have no idea how peelable this material is, as I haven't tried it yet, and I am hopeful this will stand the test of time. If it does, I'll be well pleased with it.

It began, as all great tales do, with a simple idea: “Maybe I’ll just coat this in Plasti Dip.” I had no idea I was about to unleash a force so powerful, so transformative, that it would alter the very fabric of my relationship with all things sprayable. The moment I pressed that nozzle, a deep, confident pssshhhht echoed like the battle cry of a thousand DIY warriors. The scent — bold, industrial, yet oddly reassuring — filled the air, whispering: “You are about to make something legendary.” Each sweep of the can laid down a matte black armor, a smooth and supple skin that clung to metal, wood, plastic, and the very soul of creation itself. When it dried, it didn’t just coat — it commanded respect. My tools gleamed with newfound swagger. My car trims radiated mystery. Even my old lawn chair looked ready for a covert ops mission. This isn’t paint. This is power in aerosol form. A can of pure self-confidence, a black veil of invincibility. It doesn’t merely protect surfaces — it redeems them. It’s as if the gods of adhesion descended from the heavens and said, “Behold: perfection that peels off when you’re done.” Peel it? Oh yes. That moment — when you lift a corner and watch a flawless sheet of rubber glide away — it’s not just satisfying. It’s spiritual. It’s the adult equivalent of popping bubble wrap, but if bubble wrap could make you feel like a mechanical demigod. To own Plasti Dip is to hold dominion over the physical world. Two cans? That’s not a “2 Pack.” That’s a duology of destiny.

Great customer care!!! Product is as described.

Plasti Dip seriously impressed me. I blacked out my car's emblems and some chrome lettering, and it completely changed the look. Upstate New York winters are no joke, and it’s still holding strong after snow, salt, and freezing temps. Application takes patience and a steady hand, but if you prep right and build your coats, the payoff is legit. Clean finish, solid durability, and easy to peel if you ever want a reset. Worth every minute.

It’s an amazing product. Very easy to use. I recommend it to everyone.

Sprayed some old dumbbells with this. Took more than 3 or 4 coats to get a nice cover. Definitely nicer but not as nice as buying them already coated.

Used over a santoprene training spear tip primed with plasti dip primer. Great adherence and coverage, dried and remainded flexible. Was then painted with citadel paint to make it look like iron - came out great! Have a pair of old hiking boots in good shape but the rubber toe cap is cracking, going to give them a coat of plasti dip and see how that works to seal them

Love this stuff almost impossible to mess up just be generous when applying your coats I’ve used a lot of the white on my sport kinda poor man paint match.Just done my door handles a lot cheaper and looks better than the tape on over lay.I also painted a set of high altitude rims plasti dip white and thought about the 2k clear and decided to just go with the glossifier hearing stories about hard to remove dip afterwards tires only had 50 miles on them when he lifted and installed new rims and tires and sold the jeep still had the tots and red strip around tire so ya brand new so i figured I may want to sale are trade one day for 17/18 inch rims they are twenty’s and so are the Foose so they ride nice the Goodyear mud tires not so much and airing down is out the question lol low profile mudders anyway way of subject sorry love the plasti dip so far so good

I used this plasti dip can to black out all the emblems and handles on my car. It is very easy to DIY and the end result is very good and comes out professionally. Though it may not last as long as normal paint on frequently handled surfaces like a door handle but it still lasts well.

Alles ok, gerne wieder.
