Needed a lightweight day pack for international travel
I purchased this for a trip to Chamonix, France in the summer. The weather there warranted both warm and colder temps, and I could only travel with my small, rolling carry on suitcase. Therefore, I needed a daypack to bring along that would not take up much room in my suitcase, since my gear and clothing maximized the space I had. This one was perfect! It packs down so flat, it took no space in my small suitcase, yet it was sturdy enough for my daily hikes. I was able to pack inside of it daily: a warmer coat/raincoat/hat/food/journal/camera/money & wallet/water bottle in it, and the pack held all of that just fine. The lightweight material made me barely feel it on my back, and it was great for my day hiking needs. I don't believe it's waterproof, but on a day we had rain, I just stuffed the pack under my raincoat and then it was covered while walking in hard rain. I am grateful for this purchase, because for the low cost and it's ability to pack well-- it was well worth it! it was sturdy and great!

Love this backpack!!
This lightweight and waterproof backpack is amazing— it holds lots and easily folds into a small pouch when not in use . Great for travel !! It has a small separate zippered pocket at the top which helps separate items you might want conveniently at hand. There is a small clasp inside the pocket and I was able to clasp my small wallet inside the pocket. Washes nicely and looks like new after several trips with heavy use. Fits nicely as an underseater bag on a plane.

Proved Itself the 1st day!
This bag amazing. It arrived in the mail as I was scrambling to ge the family out the door for a Saturday soccer game. I opened the Amazon box as everyone shouted thing to remember to bring. I no kidding ripped off the tags and started loading this pack up with the water bottles, sun screen, bug spray, and snacks. So lite and so easy to fill up with what you need for an outing. Next day, I took it as we all went to the beach, so for that I used it for: sun screen, dive computer (made a scuba dive from the beach), rash guard, water bottle, sun screen. When I did my dive, I then used the bag to hold my hat, sunglasses, wallet, car keys, and cell phone. Pack protected everything from sand and water drips beaded up and didn't get through. I love the fact that I don't need to bring a larger bag (which for me is a Camelbak MilTac HAWG) for simple outings that don't need that bulk. This bag is perfect for the two outings I used it for, I mean PERFECT. So in one weekend I was convinced and wondered what took me so long to get one of these. I recommend this one over similar products due to the little pocket on top for keys, wallets, phones, and due to the quality of materials used.

Great...but room for improvement
This is a great pack. It packs into it's own small pouch to throw into your luggage and use whenever you're traveling. It's light, it takes up little room, the straps are more comfortable than some other travel packs, and it holds a lot of stuff. The thing I don't understand is why didn't Osprey put an identical water bottle holder on the opposite side from the existing one. Sure, it would add just a little bit of more weight and bulk, but it would be small. But the benefits of this additional water bottle holder would be to balance out the pack, and it's useful for other items like an umbrella, keys, etc. Great pack otherwise.

Great packable bag!
I wanted something I could throw in my bag for extra space if needed and this fit the bill. Osprey makes great products, so I knew I would be happy. I used this at an outdoor festival in Las Vegas and it wasn't hot to carry around. I used it again in Mexico City and still wasn't miserable like other bags I've carried. It survived a bottle of soda exploding on the outside and held up like a champ to not get anything inside sticky and gross. I hand washed it and hung it up to dry and it's as good as new. Don't love the color, but it goes well with my Osprey Fairview 40 in the grey-green color that I use for travel. It packs up small into itself for going into a smaller bag or I can lay it flat in the bottom of the Fairview.

Great Spare Pack
Bought it as a spare from my main day pack. My brother used it and reported the straps to be comfy. It held light necessities and having a side pocket for water was definitely handy. It was great having the availability of a second bag when needed at barely any extra weight. No reason not to have it.*Update* I use this as my gym bag now, and it is so comfortable and light. The convenience of being able to just toss this in my passenger seat and then stuff it into a locker is so nice. Perfect grab & go bag, and it has been used almost daily.

Held up well
I used it daily on a 9 week trip and I was really pleased. It got one small rip (which was my fault I think) but the rip didn’t get worse. It’s super light and holds a lot. I liked how it was easy to get a water bottle in and out of the side pocket while the pack was on my back. I could just reach around. I know—a simple thing but I really appreciated that.

Extremely lightweight pack
This Osprey backpack is just what we needed for as a day pack, allowing us to leave the bigger pack in our hotel room. It's roomy enough to hold your water bottle, a sweater, scarf, phone or tablet and some snacks. It is totally deconstructed so there is no support. Since we are using with just the above items, that was not a concern of ours and we appreciated the lightweight aspect (I think it is about 3 oz and it folds up small so it can easily fit into your bigger pack, purse, or carryon,

Decent value, won't hold up to abuse
This pack is very light and think and it has to be in order to fold up into a tiny ball. I feel like the place where the straps join the body aren't going to last too long unless I'm super careful. I wouldn't walk around with this holding it by the straps. The thing is, I don't think they're misleading us in any way. Again it has tj be this way to find into a bag the size of a baseball.

Muy buena Calidad
La verdad es que siempre he confiado en la calidad de Osprey, este producto lo pedí porque hago viajes de trabajo y llevo la Backpack de la computadora y cuando necesito salir a comprar, es mejor una práctica y plegable como esta.

So useful !
Love this light bag !! make sure not to put too much weight in it since there is no framing, but really useful, i am able to put a raincoat, lunch, small items, shirt, etc. Good for day hiking, i did near 100km of walking over 10 days using this back and it was just perfect.

Solido e bello

Changed my mind about this after using it on a two-week trip
My original review was: "Good bag but doesn't really hold its shape: I shouldn't really be surprised as this is a very lightweight bag, but unless it's at least half full it can be quite awkward as it doesn't really hold any shape." Then, I took it on a two-week trip as a backup to a slingbag and folding grocery bag. After the first day, I started using the backpack for everything. It was just really convenient and light. With that in mind, I've updated my original 4-star rate to 5-stars. This is just a great travel packpack.
