I purchased this after my children chewed the heck out of the valve my Camelbak came with. I knew that the heads were different, but I figured... how hard can replacing it be?When the valve arrived, I was a little concerned that the connector peice was too small. I had to look up how to remove the old on on YouTube, and after getting the old valve out, I was nervous that I had mis-purchased--the tube seemed too big for the new head. HOWEVER, after cutting the tube down just a bit, I was able to put this one in. Now it leaks LESS than the original did.Also, the valve peices are sturdy and harder for my kids to chew on. They'll have a heck of a time destroying this. And if they do, I have four extras to use... so I shouldn't need to purchase replacements for a long while.Definately worth the purchase. I just wish I had an easier time finding tips to replace the old one.

Shame on me...I didn't pay enough attention when I ordered. I searched for Camelbak and these popped up. They look like Camelbak, but trust me...these are cheap knock-offs that will leave you completely disappointed. Cheap plastic...the bite valves leak as well. Move on....I would give it zero stars if I could.

I actually purchased this to replace the bite valve on a Platypus hydration bladder. In spite of the fact that the Aquatic Way is patterned after the Camelback valve design, it was a simple matter swapping out the defective Platypus valve. I simply soaked the old valve in very hot water to soften the tubing, slid off the original valve unit and inserted the Aquatic Way. As the tubing cooled, it tightened up nicely around the new valve unit. It now performs flawlessly with no leakage whatsoever. A quality product that offers a considerable cost savings. A win/win!

The first biggest issues with these is that you really have to bite down pretty hard and in the right spot to get any flow. The camelbak valves are much softer and flow at least twice as much liquid.The second issue I have is that the barbs that hold the piece into the straw must be slightly larger than the camelbak ones because once I inserted it into the straw, I cannot get it back out at all. Which makes it really difficult to remove the bladder from the pack.Third - minor stupid issue - the yellow on/off valve is hard to move. It requires a bit of effort which sucks if you are running or on a bike. Little things that take concentration away from what you are doing.All in all, it works and its not a bad product. Just has a couple of shortcomings. I hope opening up the outlet of the bite valve with a knife will get me more flow, having to put effort into getting a drink when you're out of breath and exhausted kind of sucks.

Bought these to replace leaking bite valve on Camelbak hydration bladder. Original bite valve lasted 15 years or so. Only use for a month and a half during turkey season every year. This kit came with a ninety degree shut off valve as well as the bite valves. The manual shut off valve ensures no leaks in the back of the turkey vest where bladder is carried. Be sure and wet or otherwise lubricate shut off valve to ease installation. Everything fits and works well with no leaks. Withheld a star because flow rate is too slow on bite valve. Original valve allowed much greater flow rate than the replacement valves. Not a deal breaker and for the price I am satisfied.

The bite valve that came with my Osprey Raptor pack sprung a massive leak after a couple of years and I was set to buy an OEM replacement when I saw the link to this replacement valve in one of the Amazon reviews. It didn't appear that any of the reviewers of this product used it on an Osprey pack, but I felt confident buying it since it has a 60-day guarantee. Turns out I didn't need the guarantee because it fits perfectly. Even the magnetic clip fits fine on it! I highly recommend this as a far less costly and much better made alternative when your Osprey valve fails (not a matter of if, it's when since the Osprey valve has a known defect- read the similar reviews on Osprey's website). It comes with four valves, so even if each replacement valve only lasts as long as my Osprey valve lasted, I'll still get four times the total life out of this. Also, I can tell the seller really cares about the product; after placing the order, I received an email with a two-page (full color illustration) installation manual. Kind of overkill for simply sticking a new valve into a tube, but I'd rather have over-instruction than under-instruction. Great product, great price, and great service!

All I wanted was a valve that didn't drip constantly. Seems simple enough, but I kept having trouble with the valves on various backpacks I had. So I bought this replacement with the shut-off to end the problem once and for all. Good news is - I never actually have to turn off the valve, as these mouthpieces seal just fine - which is great because I didn't really want to have to turn it on and off to drink while biking anywa. Very happy with this product.

I’m giving this 3 stars because it appears to be a good product but I had to return it because it does not fit my older Hydrapak. I bought this because Aquatic Way advertised that it is “compatible with most common hydration bladders”. That may be true but it didn’t fit my Hydrapak. After researching this, I found that some older hydration bladders (Hydrapak, Camelbak, etc) used 5/16” tubes rather than the 1/4” tubes which are now commonly used. The bottom line is measure your tube size before ordering. Fortunately, when I contacted Hydrapak after this didn’t work I found they still had 5/16” bite valves and they even sent me one free! Now that’s customer service.
