Short-Trip Bag or Daily Transfer of Materials Bag
Great work bag for 2-3 day trips. Good support structure, holds laptop securely and enough space for additional files or materials, as well as a change of clothes and shoes. Fits nicely in overhead bins.

Very useful and good quality
I have had this bag for a year now. Good quality overall, some stitches do not last very long when the bag is fully packed. It is not worse than a comparable Samsonite. I had for two years. The fabric is of slightly inferior quality. Handle and rollers are in fact more durable. Lots of space. Great for use as a personal item on flights (no additional luggage charge and always room for some clothes to take along). Never had trouble with airlines not accepting it and has more space than other products. For half the price of a Samsonite, a very reasonable product.

It will do
This is the first time I’ve bought a rolling lap top bag with the intention of traveling so I’ve leaned some things. It’s functional, it works, it has enough room, but I wouldn’t buy it again. With the exception of the laptop, you pretty much have to lay it down and open the whole thing to get anything out of the big part, if you unzip it all the way it falls over. The handle is finicky, if you hold the button down to extend the handle for too long it locks up, very annoying. The two wheel thing doesn’t work for me, it bites my ankles anytime I try to pull it close. Last thing I’ve learned, because it’s short, any time you come up to stairs or entering a plane, you have to stop, fight with the handle, and bend all the way over to pick it up (not like a larger carry on you can just grab and go). I know that sounds silly but when you’re in a hurry, blocking a stair well in a busy airport, it’s frustrating. The bag itself works as intended and other than the handle I have no issues with the product.

Great Customer Service
I bought this back in early November to replace an existing backpack style laptop case. I used this on two trips, one flying and one driving the first part of this month. The bag itself is very well laid out and holds a laptop, accessories and enough clothing and other items for a 2 day trip.On the second trip I noticed that the Cordura cover on the handle was starting to come loose. When I got back home I sent an email to Matein Customer Service. I received a reply in less than eight hours asking for details of my purchase and a photo of the handle.I did that and received a reply that they would be sending a replacement bag. That was mid week and the replacement arrived yesterday afternoon.Really good customer service and hopefully this handle will be a bit more durable.

My 2nd case from MATEIN
I had a great backpack-style case from them and I loved it. My job became a bit more involved and I need the ability to carry more work with me. My shoulders wouldn't take a heavier backpack so I switched to the rolling one. Lots of space, love the ability to connect an extra battery inside and charger from the outside of the case. It does get back heavy and will topple over if the weight isn't distributed correctly inside. This has stood up well for me so far, and kept things not only organized for me but dry in rolling it from a parking lot to an office in the pouring rain! This is a workhorse! It holds my laptop, cord, mouse, mini mouse pad, books, files with paperwork, about a dozen assorted pens/highlighters/markers, paper clips, extra charger cords for phone and devices, keys (love the handy clip on the inside for keys!) Highly recommend.

Matein Laptop Roller Bag
Great bag with some defects. Had a problem with the handle falling apart. It is held together by a zipper on the under side and when the zipper opens up there is no way to close it. Other than that little problem I definitely had nothing else bad to say about it. I think that the front compartment should be a little larger, but there’s still plenty of space to make up for it. I also feel that the inside laptop sleeve portion is too loose even with the Velcro strap used to secure it.

Definitely a good purchase. Holds all that I need it to and is very good quality.

An attractive and durable roller bag
Pros - roomy with lots of storage options, particularly if you are carrying a mix of laptop, papers, and the bulky daily commute items (lunch bag, spare shorts, etc); seems sturdy after several days of DC commuting; like the interior padded laptop container - nice if the bag is knocked around.Possible cons - interestingly, it is a little wider than my last bag and occasionally jams up when going through Metro turnstiles; the top fabric handle is a little hard to deploy quickly; the extendable handle should extend about one more inch so that tall individuals do not have to keep hitting their shoes on the bag when striding out.On balance, this seems like a great bag that will be perfect for a commuter with a moderate load or a traveler in need of a robust carry-on. Very recommended!
