CLOVER (Hardcover Collector's Edition)

Perfect condition. This book is beautiful and the colors are so well done. I was nervous turning the pages at time because I didn't to damage it. As for the series - if you've read it, is all here...including the fact that it NEVER GOT FINISHED.

It's lovely! So happy to have it in my collection. The art is gorgeous. I do have a little note though. Some of the translations are incorrect. In one part it says こころ which means heart but in the book they translated it as mind. Another part says 歌う少女 which says sing girl but instead says singing waif. But ultimately besides some translation problems, its beautiful and you can't go wrong with clamp. :)

Wow, such a beautiful, sad story. It really touches you. It was kind of depressing, yet it was fascinating, too. A really unusual mix of sorcery & sci-fi. Very old school sci-fi. Overall, this was one of CLAMP's better works. It ended with me wanting more.

I’m old enough to remember when this first came out. Truly a great piece of manga. The art is entirely different and the use of space/margins is unique

Really interesting story, and came in very good condition. The only problem was the printing, some panels were cut off, but is still readable.

The product is awesome but amazon sent it clearly unsealed (without the plastic that seals the product) and it came dirty.

As I said I received the book damaged in two occasions. The first one came with half of the pages damaged. The second one had the book's spine damaged, like it's too weak to hold all the pages. I won't give five stars for all the inconveniences, but this manga is AMAZING. I don't know how to explain it. It's unique, special. I haven't seen this kind of narrative before and the art helps a lot with the storytelling, it's beautiful. I think this is the most beautiful manga I ever read. I really don't know how to review this manga, but I am in love.

One of the most gorgeous, most emotionally moving manga of it's era in the best release it's ever had. If you only own one manga from artist team CLAMP, this is the one to get and the edition to get.

Received damaged twice

The story was great

I'm not quite sure what I read here. Its more than a bit hard to follow, told in pictures with a lot of space between them, and in the repeated and repeated words of a love song, sung by a character, who knows when she will die. The basic idea seems simple, there are kids with powers called 'clovers'. The ones classified as fours are the most powerful. There is only one of these and she is imprisoned in a kind of bird cage surrounded by killer dolls, but she is helped out. There are 'wizards' who are scared of the high level clovers, and they try to manipulate or restrain them. However, apart from a few plot spoilers which I won't give away, almost nothing seems to happen, and it happens all through the book, parts of the events are told out of sequence, the love song keeps interrupting and so it goes on. It is beautifully put together and composed, and its not like anything I've read before, so despite my confusion it might be worth a look. Obviously everyone else gets it....
