Is the daisy chain port full, unswitched usb power, or is it controlled via the speed control? as it's located after the speed switch it wasn't clear.

The port is controlled by the switch. I got 4.9V on H, 4.4V on M, lower than 4V on L and no output on OFF.

can you use with xbox one,what is the USB type?

I put one of these on my Xbox One and it works great. It isn't loud at all and keeps my system cooler. It is a standard usb connection (not a mini or micro USB).

Will this centrifugal fan work better than the equivalent axial version behind a HEPA filter? I heard centrifugal fans work better with pressure drops

centrifugal fans work better when a pressure difference is necessary ie your HEPA filter, this fan will work better than an axle fan and as the filter starts clogging up will continue to pull air longer
