the di input for guitar replaces the 1st xlr input, so while you can technically have all 3 plugged in at the same time only 2 will be active, guitar on 1 and 2nd xlr on 2.

There is a way to do this but you must use headphones to monitor because the outputs that would normally go to the speaker you would route to the stomp box or external processor. Then bring it back in on channel 1 and or 2. The id22 has more ins and outs and can do this while still being able to use the monitors.
