Way better than Arlo. Love the non subscription, spotlight and voice communication features
I was frustrated with my Arlo system I have had for several years. I researched Eufy, read reviews and decided to try them. The first set that came was defective. I started return/replacement. I was immediately sent a replacement and credited for the returned item within a couple days. The second set set setup was a breeze. I was surprised with the two way speech communication and spotlight features; my old Arlo's did not have those features. I originally ditched my Arlo's because they no longer supported non-subscription storage. I also love the 180 day battery and rechargeable features. I went with the 1080 dpi quality and noticed it was way better than my Arlo's. I guess my other ones were 720. This system is perfect for my needs and had a very reasonable purchase price. Do not hesitate if you are on the fence. I'm sure you can pay way more for another system, but I don't see why. Also, I did not realize they were an Anker product and I have purchased many other Anker products and been very happy with them all.

Impressed!
Great little security set up! I got the 3 cam package with home base, and am impressed so far. I am using it to monitor the apartment building I manage. I have one camera by the front gate and the other two around the back of the building. It is only 8 u it’s, so not a huge complex or anything. I don’t think this would work for larger businesses but for my needs it is perfect. So far (a little less than one month) they are working excellently. I was concerned about battery life and WiFi/home base range but have found those concerns to be unfounded so far. The camera by the front gate gets the most activity by far. We live in a busy urban area of a big city and get a lot of foot traffic between residents and deliveries, usually around 20-40 captures a day for the front gate. That camera battery is at 75% after 4 weeks. The 2 in the back don’t get activated nearly as often and those are at 99%. I find these draining rates to be more than acceptable. And the range from camera to home base has been surprisingly good. I was able to connect my home base to my WiFi after setting up with Ethernet, and move it to a central location that was close enough to all 3 cameras to connect. I have noticed little to no drop in connection or missed triggers. The video quality is decent, not super high def but enough to make out faces which is all I care about. For more money you can upgrade to 2k but that was overkill for me. For the money, and local storage with no monthly fees, I am very happy with the purchase!

These work great! No subscription service required
We recently purchased these and cant say enough good things about them. The picture is very clear and you can pick up movement from a good distance. We have outside cats and I am able to control settings so it doesn't alert every time they walk by. One of the best things is you don't have to sign up for a subscription service! I simply have the camera alert me in real time so I can watch who is at the house. I can then delete the short video at my convenience. The set up.was really easy. We are an older couple and dread purchasing electronics because set up for us is usually a nightmare and we end up arguing and calling a young person for help. Not this time we walked right through the set up with no issues!

UPDATE: Performing better
This system replaced the Arlo Pro 2--returned it because the batteries would not charge. I bought a security camera because I wanted to ID the person who was causing damage in my front yard, and although these camera's setup was easy, video quality is clear and there is no monthly fee, my experience is that they are not dependable in detecting humans (disclosure: they did detect people maybe three times). Installed them last Saturday and I emailed support the following day and have been emailing back and forth. The main issue is that persons are NOT detected even when the motion detection is set to "all motions" and on highest "detection sensitivity". Customer support asked me to change an option on my cell (turned Power saving off), send them a log, videos (with exact times when detection SHOULD have occurred), etc. Still today, July 28, cameras are not detecting humans--tested walking (about 10-25 feet in front and on side of cameras this morning w/"humans only" w/highest detection sensitivity--and no detection, no alerts. I am disappointed and at a lost; i need a dependable security system, so, I'll keep researching. Hopefully, will update this post. UPDATE:JUL30 - Cameras are detecting better--picking up people more. After calling the support folks at eufy (short wait time--~4 minutes) found out that detection depends on the angle (down tilt of about 25 degrees) of the camera. I have not mounted as of yet--testing it out; just in case i had to return them. I also had trouble enabling the LED Status button (in the app)-it was greyed out; after talking to support i was instructed to tap hard on the button--and poof, the dialog box popped up and enabled it. I will update review once cameras are mounted--once up, I can experiment with the "sensitivity level". As long as i can reach out to support (via email-response turnaround is 24 hours; via phone you can call btwn 8-7PM Central), I am more at ease and confident that issues can be resolved and becoming more confident in the product. Dec2021: cameras mounted for 3 / 4 mos. Does not detect 100% of the time; support recommended changing location and/or angle. Will play around with that in warmer months. For price, still a good buy.

So far working great!
I just purchased this security system to put my mind more at ease when travelling. I am very happy with the quality of the cameras. The night vision is very good, and I like the spotlight feature. I also like that you can customize each mode to do exactly what you want it to do, plus I added a sleep mode so that the alarm on the homebase will go off when I'm asleep if there is an intruder. Just make sure that you do not have any part of the walkway in the camera if you want it set up that way. I found out how loud and efficient the system is when I was awakened early one morning by the alarm because someone walked by the house. The only drawback was the instructions. They were as minimal as you can get. I went online to try to find a PDF to follow and print out, again an issue. Instead, I found a really good U Tube video which helped. I also purchased extra insurance and had to call about a question I had. Tech Support was very helpful and polite. I have been trying it out when I leave the house for doing errands to make sure everything is working well before I go on a major trip and have been satisfied with its performance . My only worry now is that the mailman doesn't freak when he hears the alarm and just throw the mail on the porch and run

Pretty satisfied so far
First of all, don't make these two newb mistakes like I did: 1) When setting an activity zone, you are limited to a rectangular shape with the cameras unlike with the doorbell which allows you to make a polygon shape. HOWEVER, unlike the doorbell, you can set up to THREE rectangular activity zones to create a more complex shape. 2) When testing the motion detection of your cameras, do not watch them through the Eufy app, otherwise the motion detection will not work. The motion detection WILL NOT TRIGGER if you are watching the app at the same time as you are using the camera, since if the camera is already 'on' it can't be turned 'on' by the motion. 3) When mounting your cameras try to place them as far from the wall as possible if monitoring down a side yard or alleyway. At night, the infrared light bounces off of the wall and all you will see is a very bright wall and a dark alley/side yard, which isn't helpful if your goal is to monitor the alley/side yard. This can be improved by mounting the camera further away from the wall. 4) If you are mounting these cameras onto stucco or any stone based exterior, you will most likely need to hire a professional or have both a masonry drill bit and a hammer drill option on your existing drill. Ok now that we have the newb mistakes aside let me get to the review. This is my first time owning security cameras (we had a break-in incident at our house which prompted us to set up a surveillance system). I have been overall pretty pleased with my camera setup (all Eufy, I have the doorbell, floodlight, and 3 of 2c cams), although I have nothing to compare it to. Pros: - The app is great, very intuitive and easy to use. - Battery life is good so far. I have had it one month and still at full bars - Cameras are very small, and don't visually impact the aesthetic of the house at all - Like the alarm feature - Eufy telephone support has been very helpful (shoutout to Kevin who I have bugged the most with my questions) Needs work: - Motion detection is just ok on the cameras (although probably good enough for our purposes). We have the Eufy floodlight too and it's definitely better on the floodlight - Images could be clearer, although I am told this will be fixed in a future firmware update - Spotlight isn't really that bright, doesn't enhance the picture quality at all at night - I wish Eufy would come out with an unlimited cloud storage plan like the Ring that would allow me to bundle my doorbell, floodlight, and 3 cams for $10/month . Overall: I'm happy with my cameras. This is a younger, smaller company so I expect a few bumps along the road. They seem interested in customer feedback though and are planning to implement some changes that I think will enhance the usability of their cameras. Now that I have my cameras, it's honestly hard to imagine ever not having them again. I've been able to see the exact time that my husband gets home from work every day, find a cute neighborhood cat wandering into our yard, spot our neighbors putting up their own security cameras through our doorbell, spot the woman who used to rent our house come by to try to pick up her mail, and a whole host of things which I wouldn't have known about had I not had the cameras.

These cameras are Awesome
Not only is this he picture quality crisp and clear but these connect to the home base fluidly and without any problems. The eufy app is so user friendly and comprehensive even I can navigate it with ease and I’m going on 80 years old. They say the batteries will stay charged for 180 days. I haven’t had mine for 6 mo yet only 3 mo but the charge is staying up just fine. These cameras are so wonderful I bought another home base 2 and 9 more various cameras, solar wall light/cam, E220, C210. And they are affordable. What more can you want? Oh I did have some questions and I called support several times…they were courteous, patient, and knowledgeable. That’s what you want!

Great investment
Arlo went over to subscription so read reviews and went with Eufy. Has been working fine this past year. I did purchase third-party solar panels. The app is nice just took some time to get the motion sensitivity right for me. Each camera has its own settings. The app is very easy to use and the AI function works great for privacy zones. When working in yard it is easy to turn camera off from app as well as speak through it if your getting a notification. You do not know how much happens around your property until you get cameras and they notify you. Can get annoying. Just lower sensitivity or set for specific recording like auto, people, pets etc. Great buy
