Excellent hose shutoffs
I have gone through numerous plastic and metal hose shutoff through the years, even fixing some plastic ones by replacing the broken "shutoff handle" with a screw drilled into the side of the stem to make them last longer. These replacement shutoffs appear to be better quality than any of the original ones I probably paid about twice as much to buy. Their shutoff handle is thicker and should hold up better. Generally what breaks them is when the end of the hose is dropped on concrete, breaking the cheap handle, although some have broken when dropped into the grass when the ground is hard from lack of rain. I will try to be more careful with these, but having a dozen now at about $1 each, I won't have to worry as much. The black new shutoff is on the right in the photo, and the handle is heavier duty than the others shown, with the possible exception of the green one with the attachment screw in the middle of a heavy duty handle. That latter concept makes sense from a leverage standpoint, because the shutoff is generally turned with two fingers, placing equal force from each, and thus splitting the required force in half of that needed with the attachment screw at one end of the handle. The threads and overall build quality appear to be excellent.

Perfect addition to my hose
I really like this shut off valve. It is as easy as it gets for a screw on installation. Now I have the flexiblilty to remove the nozzle and attache a sprayer to the hose without going back to the facuet to turn off the water. Simple but effective. The material is all plastic so it should last a long time.

No leaks so far. .
Needed a bunch of these kind of shut off valves so looking forward to them doing the job I ordered them. If they hold up they are a real bargain.

Works smoothly Not expecting them to work so well being plastic, so pleasantly surprised
I run 4-5 hoses in back yard and it saves a lot of steps to not have to walk back to hose bib when I need to change watering pattern.

Story at midnight
Sturdiness and durability remain to be tested. Assuming they hold up reasonably well, then they are a great value for the money.

Great product for the price
These Plastic Garden Hose Shut Off Valves are very durable for the price. I wasn't expecting them to be that good. They were about $20 for 12, so just over $1.50 each. I would totally buy these again.

Inexpensive flow control
For the flow control of low pressure air works well. Non swivel ends so may not fit every situation.

These little plastic guys stood up one heck of a lot better than I thought they would!
I manage the garden bed and lawn watering for my whole condominium complex which is about 3 acres of property and there are faucets and timers and hoses all the heck over the place. For years now I've been buying a handful of the brass valves pretty much every spring to replace ones that have started to leak or got damaged the year before. More and more, I found the quality of the brass ones just went down hill and the price went up. In recent years, the brass ones sometimes only lasted a single season. So, since the brass valves had become somewhat disposable, I figured if I even just got 6-8 decent ones that lasted even just a single season, I was doing okay.Well, I'm not sure that I even got a single bad one in the bunch. And with some to spare I increased convenience in the setup by throwing them in where I had never had them in the past. Not one crapped out over the summer. And with a "heat dome" and two other heat waves and a season of drought, they saw a lot of use. I was pleasantly surprised!
