Soft-Tex Restonic Mattress Topper, Full, White

Today I set off reading my book, Half a Yellow Sun by Adiche, eating pfeffernusse bonbons wi coffee, sharing some wi LuLu, until I noticed it was sunny & cheery out. So we went to the deserted college; my bad legs managed a much bigger area this time on the grassy fields which are surprisingly uneven but youd never notice on good ankles & knees. As we started out we heard a huge flock of Canadian geese flying west on the river. We figured they'd rest up by the swimming place, maybe. By the time we made a big circle, there they were on the banks & LuLu got to rush them all. They squawked plenty, rising up, landing safely in the water.Back home I made lump crab cakes from some huntin gatherin' score earlier in the year, 8oz tubs for a dollar. Freezer is good for something! And they were divine like Christmas feast food for me & Lu. I want to share my take on the thing since opening it up 3 days ago. This is full size "soft-tex Restonic topper" laid atop a fat futon.It is certainly a different experience in beds. First of all it is warming. So much so that having the heat off my upstairs-cold- is perfect with only a sheet & a very lightweight blanket or two, instead of the pile of blankets I'd been sleeping under. How novel that the heat comes from below you! Rather than say, run a hot bath to warm up, one can simply lie down in bed. So far no more sore backs. Big change there! It could be the warmth is therapeutic. As you can see it is soft, poofy, lofty like a feather bed. It also had well made strong elastic straps to hold it onto the mattress, & its covering was good white cotton.I suspect it would be unbearable in those few hot Illinois summer months, but for now, fall winter spring radical & lucious! In a house area, or room with normal to warm heat on, it might seem quite warm with more than a thin blanket or sheet.Am wondering if a quilted cotton mattress cover might be a good idea. That's the next thing to find.

Topper was shipped quickly and came in a huge box. Inside the box it was in one of those plastic bags with the zippers that bedding typically comes in. The topper expands as it's being taken out of the bag. It was in pristine condition as expected. The topper is channel sewn with four channels so the filling won't all lump to one area as happens with other filled toppers. There are deep, wide, sturdy straps at the corners of the topper that I would think would fit quite a deep mattress. My mattress is a cheap, thin mattress with very firm springs. The padding had worn through to the point that I was actually laying on the springs. After putting on this topper o feel like I'm laying on a cloud! I absolutely love it. It is so comfortable. While I settle into it the material still breathes so I don't get warm or sweaty. The topper is machine washable and dryable. A terrific value for money! Years ago I had a down topper similar to this. I bought it from a fancy department store for $$$. This topper is far superior! I highly recommend.

This is the second one that I have purchased.It did not fit the bed as well as the first one.

Things started off great, very plush and cloud-like, but then...About 2 weeks into use, the mattress topper began to create "wells" for me and my partner, with a large ridge in between us and on the edges of the bed. It didn't bother me much at first, but my partner complained of back pain immediately. No amount of fluffing or washing has gotten the "wells" out and the topper seems to be permanently deflated where we each sleep on it. The deflation isn't the issue so much as the issue of when you move at all, you have to pull your body out of the trench, and that puts a strain on everything. We were waiting to see if we could adjust to this, as I know sometimes it takes months to get used to a new bed, but 30 days isnt a long enough trial - we are fed up and it's just now 1 week over 30 days so we can't get our money back. Major bummer, I wouldn't recommend this topper.

Very soft and comfortable, but sleeps very hot!

After six weeks, the place where I lay is completely broken down and will not fluff back up at all, now it is basically pointless to have on the bed at all.

Well I just received my topper and Iam so glad I took a chance and bought it regardless of what others think I have to say this is the best topper that I have found on Amazon so far and I have been through almost every brand and so far this is my favorite but I just got it today so we will see how I feel after I lay on it for at least a good 2 weeks. I don't see me changing my mind because it's so nice and thick I just hope it stays that way and if not I guess I will throw it in the dry to try and refluff it. I really love this topper mainly because It is so thick and comfortable and I got it on sale for $96 and some change plus then add tax but that's a great deal especially when you see the list price for this mattress topper. Well I love it so much that I ordered another one for our front room futon.

I am very pleased! Adds height, which I love! Comfort level is amazing, really transforms my bed! My mattress is brand spanking new but it's predominantly memory foam and had I took into the temperature my room keeps, I would have bought something different! So heads up, if your room is the hardest room to heat in the winter stay away from memory foam! It will never feel the same way twice, warm nights molds to your body, cold nights like laying on boards! But back to the mattress topper! So nice and fluffy! I can enjoy my nee mattress now without any regret!!!
