this works well for measuring my property lines

I use this a lot for work. It's pretty good. However at some point the screw holding the arrow on the wheel came out and the arrow fell off. I also wish the wheel didn't continue to spin once you lifted it off the ground after a roll. However once you know this happens it's pretty easy to account for it while using it. Despite these things I still recommend this product.

Works as advertised

There are many of these around and I'm sure they all do the same thing. I thought that maybe i could find another use for this besides the 1 time that I need it for, therefore i was looking for one that had 2 wheels and where the bottom is somewhat close to the ground and this was it. I took out some powerful magnets out of an old MAC PC (standard HDD magnets are normally thin/small, and these G3 HDD magnets are huge and strong). I'm going to glue the magnets to the bottom of the measuring wheel in order to pick up metal from the yard/driveway. The metal pickup tool i have from home depot works, but it lacks power and it requires frequent scans over the same area to pick up metal. With a super powerful magnet I'm assuming i don't need to scan it that close to the ground which is where this will come handy. I have not yet built it, therefore i have no pictures, but for the purpose of measuring this wheel worked well. Remember to add about 3"'s to you final measurement if you are starting from a wall. measure the distance from the end of the wheel to the center. I guesstimated it since i was measuring a yard and didn't matter to be precise. The wheel is easy to adjust by pressing down on the reset level. The numbers move forward and backwards. The handles lock in place when extended preventing it to collapse as you take your measurements.

i use this for work measuring buildings. problem is the screw on the wheel comes loose after awhile and the gear skips which results in the measurement being inaccurate. so im afraid i cant totally trust it. looking for another brand.

I took it out of the included storage bag and with a quick twist, extended the handle and ready to go. I laid a tape measure down on the concrete floor and ran out 22'. Then I started the wheel with the hanging arow right on the end of the tape. At 22' on the tape measure the arrow on the wheel was right over the 22' mark just as it clicked on the counter. Plenty good enough for this homeowner.

I have used it once and it does what it’s supposed to do. I like the carry bag. The price is what really got me. This is so far a solid product and is more than 50% less in price than HDepo which sells pretty much the same one but in red instead of yellow..
