No this will not work on the Milwauke M12 Fuel Surge Impact Driver. This only fits the M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Stubby 3/8, 1/2, 1/4 in. Impact Wrench.

Q: What is the purpose of this?

To Stop damage to the Plastic/Metal Parts of the tool if it falls over when sat down if a flat bottom battery3.0ah or above is used or from damage when placing on the ground when using the Standard 2.0ah M12 I also have the larger M18 version of the Impact Gun and also have the same type of boot but correct fitting for the bigger model. Well worth getting 1 for the protection it provides for your impact driver
