Seagate 5TB Portable Hard Drive | USB 3.0 (STGX5000400)

Bought this to backup my data from a PC HDD.It's plug and play with my windows 11. To transfer data i copied and pasted files and folders from my PC HDD to the ex HDD. Write speeds were 120 MB/s which is quick enough for me. I've not tested read speeds yet but i think the read speeds will be similar to the write speeds. I think the price i paid for this ex HDD is definitely worth it.

Great value portable drive. Good capacity. Easy to use. Could do with being beefed up a bit in build quality simply so it can travel better. Recommended though.

Bought the drive for my new Apple Mac mini computer. Does what its suppose to but be aware its not plug and play and will not work straight out of the box as it appears to be set up for windows. You need to erase the drive and reformat it with the Apple APFS format, it will then work fine. Nothing I could see in the instructions to inform you of this requirement.

Massive storage and easy to use. You may lament the time it takes to transfer files but this is a limitation of PCs, USB etc. and not of this device. Best advice is to back up all your files frequently and then keep this drive at a remote, secure location

I paricularly like Seagate Hard Drives for storage they were my first large storage 4 TB units and I have had them 4 years without problems and perfect storage no flaws in playback. I have extensive film archives on one and photos on another ehich are usef often, and always work well and I am approaching storage challenges again, so time to get another without reservation.

I purchased the Seagate Portable Drive, 5TB, External Hard-drive via Amazon almost 2 years ago.I've regularly copied various documents, videos, photos onto it since with no issues, (approx' 2TB worth), ensuring I always clicked on `Remove External USB Drive` before disconnecting.The drive stopped working, even though the small white powerlight was on, and I could hear the internal of the portable hard-drive spinning confirming it had power ok, but my laptop was displaying a warning that `Windows cannot recognise this device...`.I replaced the USB-3 cable with a new one, but still no joy. I tried all the Device Manager options, `Uninstall USB Driver`, Restart laptop, and other potential options, even following many steps from YouTube videos, but everything was confirming it's a faulty hard-drive.I contacted Seagate online and they were very helpful, prompt and confirmed my hard-drive was still under the `Recover date warranty`. After various tests on the device they took me through (in case it was a problem with my Windows Drivers, or other), it was then established that it was a problem with the hard-drive.Seagate provided me with a Returns Label (to post the drive to their Data Recovery Department, which I did. I was kept informed throughout and a few days later got confirmation that all my data had been successfully recovered, which was then soon sent to me on a new hard-drive. Brilliant news!!I really can't thank Seagate enough for their AMAZING customer service, smooth and prompt data recovery, and for the new hard-drive. Highly recommended and I will certainly stick to the Seagate brand.

Easy to use. Lits of space

Very happy with this purchased. The product itself was packaged very well and was protected very well.Ordered on the 15th July and was told it will arrive on the 29th but arrived 8 days earlier. The transfer speed is amazing.Now my phone and tablet has all it's memory back and I don't have to waste time looking for files to delete to create more space on them.

Aynı modelin backup plus slim olanı vardı. Kasasının üstü metal altı plastikti. Bunun ise yekpare plastik. Kaliteli hissettirmiyor ama elinizde dolaşan bir ürün de değil zaten. Bellikte Seagate kalitesini tartışmaya bile gerek yok. 2 TB alın kafanız rahat etsin.

Je suis contente d'avoir acquis ce disque dur. Grande capacité de stockage, pas très encombrant et de qualité. Un peu onéreux J'ai pu payé en plusieurs fois et je ne regrette pas mon achat.
