Excellent Durability Even in High Winds
This is the only umbrella that I have found that can withstand consistent high wind conditions without fraying or failing. The solid stem construction makes all the difference compared with collapsible models, just be sure to let the umbrella finish drying out when wet or a smell will develop.

Compact enough to pack, big enough to provide good coverage in inclement weather. Strong enough to stand up to the occasional first gust. Slightly pricy.

Great hiking umbrella in the Cascade mountains
It is sturdy and stable in the wind. I have been using Ray Jardine's GoLite style umbrellas for almost 20 years.
