Troxel Intrepid Saddle Horse Riding Helmet, Low-Profile Adjustable Design, Safety Horseback Riding Gear

This helmet was mid priced compared to riding helmets out there. It has the MIPS tech which was new when I bought - and I have to say, I'm pretty sure that MIPS tech saved my life last year on a bad fall. Helmet was in one piece, no cracks and only damage was visor broke off. The color is great. Its a comfortable and breathable helmet that is adjustible. I'm going to get a second in a different color so I have a back up or can just switch out. Also, I can attach my go pro to it with not issues in fit.

This is a great Troxel helmet! I had older Troxel helmets years ago and wanted an updated version, so chose this model after reading about the different styles. The Intrepid is so nice and lightweight and very comfortable to wear. I measured my head as directed and chose the corresponding size on the chart, and the fit is perfect. I like the self adjusting band at the back of the neck on this style. Since I have not ridden in summer yet with this helmet, I cannot speak to how well it cools my head! I'm very happy with the looks, fit, and light weight of this helmet.

I am a novice rider and this is my first helmet. The SureFit Pro system works well and the helmet was very comfortable. The helmet is light and cool, The magnetic clasp was easy to use, and made the helmet easy to put on and take off. If you are anywhere close to the border between different sizes, I would advise getting the larger size. I was close to the large size, and I ordered a large rather than the medium and it fit perfectly. You can use the Flipfold side tabs to snug up the fit if needed.

I needed a helmet that I could wear for lessons as well as shows. This is helmet is great! It fits nicely and isn't as super hot in our Arkansas summers as some are. I've received numerous compliments on it too. My only complaint is that after a while it does get a little scratched up...but not something you'd be able to see from a distance. UPDATE: I recently suffered a fall from a horse that bolted. While I did end up with a broken ankle, this helmet did an excellent job of protecting my head during the rolling and impact following the fall. I suffered no injuries to my head and was glad to be wearing a helmet. Troxel makes excellent products and I would highly recommend this or any of their other helmets.

Purchased a medium, and was shipped a small/medium so fit is small. It’s a brand I am familiar with and know they do make a medium. Color is great.

I spent approximately 10 minutes adjusting the straps when a first got it and probably 5 more after that first few rides and it fits perfectly. Doesn't budge in the trot or canter. Lightweight, I don't even know I'm wearing it. Very affordable for a safe, relaxing ride.

I currently own the troxel spirit and it feels too bulky but is super comfortable. I wear a size Medium. Both helmets fit about the same . What I like about the intrepid is that it’s less bulky and fits my head better. I’d say this runs a lil smaller than the spirit style. I have a round face so the construction style of the spirit made me look weird. I wore it for comfort because my ovation was scratching my forehead with the poor fit of the liner and it was giving me headaches. I started wearing the troxel more and more. The spirit is good for a go pro . It’s round enough to balance it .I will not get rid of the spirit style for that reason. It’s fun to use the go pro . I have thick long hair and the intrepid doesn’t have the dial to catch my hair. I can’t wait to ride in it !

This helmet fits to size and is very comfortable. The helmet is sturdy and does not move around when riding. I wear this Helena during lessons and I am a jumper and sometimes if other I am wearing a helmet. The price was perfect and I would defiantly reccomend this helmet. The only thing I would hangs about this is the magnetic clip but it has not given me any issues.
