Review: This movie was so good it convinced me to write my first review ever!!! - I originally watched this movie a week ago after it came out I just thought of giving this a review now cause I couldn’t get over how good it was. When I finished watching the movie at the time I was just speechless... and left with my jaws dropped after I saw the ending. I literally had no words to describe how I truly felt about that entire movie at the time. All I could say was that it had incredible action, intense and frightening moments, and some very dark and emotional scenes. And I’m sure when people saw those scenes they definitely cried/got emotional just a bit... I’ll admit I did too at some scenes lol. But overall, I think this was the best DC animated film I’ve ever seen in a long time. Especially for me because I grew up watching these movies ever since I saw Flashpoint. In my opinion, I would have to say that this is probably better than almost all of their animated movies and majority of their live action movies combined because that’s how good it was for me. And it’s up there alright. But again, I enjoyed it a lot. This is definitely worth the $20, and 90 minutes I’ve ever spent in my life. It was also worth it staying up late at night to watch this. I’d HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is a big DC fan. What a great movie and the ending was just honestly 10/10 very well done and put together. Side Note: I love all the scenes they put together for Damian and Raven!!! So if you are a fan of them this one’s for you!!!!! YOU DON’T HAVE TO READ THIS PART BELOW CAUSE UP THERE WAS THE END OF MY REVIEW!!!!! This is just me adding my thoughts on what I think is going to happen in the future for this universe and how I feel about it. So as far as continuing the series and bringing back certain aspects from this one into the new one. I don’t know what’s gonna happen. A lot of people are talking about “DC Rebirth” and are saying that “Man of Tomorrow” is supposed to be the rebirth/sequel. Even though when I first saw it they said it was going to be just a standalone movie. Well I hope I’m wrong. Because I really liked this universe and all the characters that came and were introduced. If there was anything I’d like to see more of it would probably be a more focus into Damian and Raven relationship/scenes. Even though they took their time with it and I enjoyed it nonetheless the less because it wasn’t rushed or anything it just happened naturally and I’m ok with that. It’s just that personally I feel like it still took them quite awhile in my opinion. I mean there’s like a huge 3-4 year time gap between the last teen titans movie and this one. And we don’t even know what happened. All I’m asking is just for more scenes just looking at how they got along more and started trusting each other more. That is all! If anyone actually read all of that and made it down here, you’re a real one!!! :) Review: King Shark is a Shark! - Last movie in the 15 film continuity for DC Animated Movie Universe. Connects all previous films. Not required watch as this movie can be viewed standalone, but those did watch previous films will have greater appreciation of concluding plot points Plot and Story would be great for the DC Extended Universe (live action) films if they didn't rush it with Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. A lot of parallels to Marvel's MCU Endgame with large scale battle with all heroes, but instead they lose with a flash forward after the epic battle. Darkseid could be DC's Thanos, Constantine = Dr. Strange, Superman = Iron Man, Batman = Captain America, etc. Also maybe 'Xmen Days of Future Past' with Darkeid enslaving everyone Visuals and themes are graphic and dark. A lot of dismemberment, blood, and some swearing. There is some comedic moments here and there to break up the tension a bit. Character motivations are somewhat believable giving the situation they're in. Superman leans more towards Injustice Superman (vs boyscout/traditional Superman) Plot: Darkseid tried to conquer Earth 2 times, and Superman had enough of it and try to assemble a team to defeat Darkseid once and for all at his home planet. Darkseid spied on their plans and was ready for their invasion. Justice League is defeated/ambushed by Darkseid and his Paradooms (genetic hybrids of Para-demons and Doomsday’s DNA) army killing numerous heroes and enslaving some. Darkseid then takes over Earth and drain it of it's resources. Years later Superman who was enslaved by Darkseid escapes and try to form a new team in order to defeat him A lot of key heroes like Aquaman and Green Lantern is killed off in the first opening scene. And tons more as the movie progresses giving 'Game of Thrones' a run for it's money...death count? Ends pretty well, and realistically with a lot of sacrifices. But concludes with a sort of scapegoat. Either way had a very fun time watching. One of the best DC's animated movies, up there with Flashpoint

Review of the movie and blu ray nothing else
This is not a review of someone complaining that this movie isn't on a streaming on service or anything like that. Nor is this a comparison to the comic book source material. SPOILER FREE So to start off I own almost all the DC animated movies some great some alright but this one in my opinion is GREAT. It has a Flash Point movie vibe to it and is just a brutal as Flash Point. Allot of the characters an voice actors from previous movies all meet up to take down Darseid and it works well. Animation wise it is spot on an just fun to watch some of the crazy fight scenes. Voice acting there was a few voices i didn't care for but that doesn't mean they did a bad job, I just would have preferred someone else. As long as they had Rain Wilson as Lex and few other key characters I was happy. Overall I a very happy with the movie an my preorder I would buy again, great addition to my collection. As far as the Bluray by itself it is what you would expect. Nice paper cover and a sturdy case contains the dvd and bluray. Smooth easy to navigation to the movie an extras same format as the other movies. But if your a fan of these types of movies this one I really enjoyed an see myself watching several times in the near future.

What a Wild Ride!!
A little background about myself. I watched all the DC New 52 Animated movies (Flashpoint, Teen Titans, The Death of Superman, etc), a handful of animated movies before FlashPoint, and DCEU Live Action movies. I was going into this movie blind because I don't really know the comics of this movie nor do I read comics. Recommend before watch: Flashpoint, Justice League War, Justice League vs Teen Titans, Death of Superman, Reign of Superman, and Justice League Dark. NON SPOILER: Overall, I thought the movie was good, but not great. There was a lot of action in the movie and I commend it for going to a dark storyline like FlashPoint. I am glad that ALL the characters from the animated universe came into this movie. The main character Robin ( Damian Wayne ), came a long way from bratty personality to maturing like Bruce / Nightwing. I personally didn't like his personality in Son of Batman but started to mature in Judas Contract. The other characters, Batman, Raven, Superman, and John Constantine had a good overall relevance in the plot. However, I wish some characters were in the plot and had more characters' interactions. Also, a few of the action scenes were cut short and it could have been resolved by adding another 15-30 minutes. In the end, the ending was bittersweet and I liked the ending. I will give more explanation in my spoiler review. SPOILER: Pros: - It had a nice overall plotline with using many characters from Justice League, Justice League Dark, Teen Titans, Suicide Squad - Never knew that I wanted a Darkside and Trigon fight and it was AWESOME!! - As an Avatar the Last Airbender fan, I love water bending so having Mera use water Hydrokinesis was amazing. - Nice plot twist with Zatana using a spell on Jonh Constatine and Trigon entering Superman's Body. - Funny scenes with Etrigan - Love the character designs of the Furies. Cons: - Most of the action scenes were cut short like the Lantern Corp and beginning of the movie w/ Justice League fighting. Like showing how Zatana was using all her powers in Justice League Dark before she died. - I wish Flash had an interaction with Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman in the last part of the movie. Like a goodbye or sorry or something. Also, a line or two with Starfire saying something to Nightwing. - Not too much of a con, but I didn't love how Lois Lane was at the forefront of the movie, but I do get the reason why they put Lois in the movie a good chunk of the movie. I wish they substitute her for another DC superhero character.

The "what-if" scenario
Look I love these "what-if" senarios. It allows them to be free to imagine and then bring it all back to the comfort zone. They can take out characters, they can make characters more powerful or less powerful, they can let the bad guy win, or turn your favorite good-guy to the most kick butt bad guy. I loved the movie story and the plot really forces the Justice League to make tough decisions. Their villains are smart and powerful. What I like with this movie is the development of characters quickly in a bad situations and uncommon hero's have to save the day. We find Superman being a hero even after a monstrous loss and defeat and losing his powers. Bad Batman and Darkseid using his hated Earth hero's as his tools of destruction. Fun. It looks like they can continue with more stories and not end it here, we will see. These are too good of animations and characters and development of characters to close it out. On a side note: What I personally want to see in the future is showing what Green Lantern, Hal Jordan and John Stewart, can really do. DC has marginalized the character because of the bad movie that came out in 2011. When I was a kid in the 80s Green Lantern was as popular as Batman and a DC character more powerful than any Marvel hero. I would like to see DC Comics raise the bar on their heros. The GL ring is extraordinarily robust, anything that can be imagined can be blasted out which gives to endless possibilities. Let's make some great fight scenes with legends that were in Super Friends and were monsters in the superhero world like Flash, Green Lantern, the Atom, Hawkman, Green Arrow, and even the once wildly popular Plastic Man who is the original shape-shifter. I like the development of new characters and the suicide squad they had in this movie (and what they are doing in Young Justice). Justice League Dark Apocalypse War is a must see.

Best movie I’ve seen in a long time
I’m not a comic book purist, but I’ve followed this iteration of the DC universe since Flashpoint. This movie captivated me from the start and held my attention through the end credits. I haven’t been transported in my mind like that while watching a movie in a long time. This is how comic book movies should be made. This is how good storytelling in movies should be made. The drama, the conclusion of so many story arcs at once, the emotion and action within the story, it feels like Return of the King or the Iliad in terms of its dramatic conclusion to the epic. What a beautiful climactic weave of drama, the last 5 minutes are storytelling perfection in my opinion. Warner Bros. Animation doesn’t get enough praise and attention for the world class quality they produce. I now prefer their adult animation movies over any modern live action entertainment, from any genre. If Hollywood made more movies like this, focused on storytelling instead of representation, it would be like a new golden age of entertainment and the money would flow like a river downhill.

DC ANIMATION WINS AGAIN!!
DC is the king of animation. Justice League Dark Apolkolips lived up to the hype it built up to be. Although I kinda saw the ending coming. The story line left me with mouth left wide open and sitting on the edge of my seat. Seeing a lot of my favorite DC hero's and villains team up and be themselves perfectly was a joy. The cast and the actors who pulled off the voices of each and every character I give a big applause too. John Constatine is soooooo underrated as a character and hero in his own right. As much as I love him on Legends of Tomorrow animated John is good as gold and never disappoints. I don't want to give to much away But they finally gave Raven and Trigon they're just due.. Darkside is the Ultimate baddie Thanos is Thanos but he ain't never gave Marvel the business the way Darkside does which such class. If marvel could ever get they're ish together in the animation department maybe I'd come back to their cartoons and they are cartoons until they can get on the same stage and be anointed animation as DC.. Please check this one out everyone

Tired of good guys winning everything?
Dark and dystopian in tone, this is the cure for the common comic book happy ending. Super Hero hubris finally pays a price. All the rules and super hero conventions go right out the window. And that ends up being ultimately freeing for many of the characters who’ve been paragons of virtue for decades. Big fun when John Constantine, Damien Wayne, Raven and a non-rhyming Edtragon team up with the Suicide Squad and Lex Luthor to save the world from the sins of the Justice League and the Teen Titans.

excellent !
