I recently purchased this 2-hole puncher, and it has been a great addition to my office supplies. The build quality feels solid, and it's surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to move around or store in a drawer. When I was first asked to write a review of my recent purchase of this Officemate Heavy Duty 2-Hole Punch I was so excited. I don't even know where to start, but here goes: First, right out of the box I was mesmerized with how shiny and sleek the product looked. But it was not until I actually tried it out on some heavy weight letter-sized paper that I was shock and awed. The puncher punches perfect little holes in the paper every time. And the holes are always the exact same distance from each other and on a parallel line. Not only that but the punched holes are perfect circles that I can only guess have a circumference of Pi multiplied by their diameter. I even put 10 sheets in at once and this Officemate knew its assignment. What is really cool is that the holes perfectly accommodate the prong fasteners I paired the product with. The ACCO fastener fit neatly within the holes every time and hold the top part of my paper securely- neither too taut nor too loose. I just cannot say enough about this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to keep their files organized. A++ !

This two-hole punch is very heavy duty. The packaging says it will punch through 50 sheets. It comes with a guide so you can center the holes on different sizes of paper. Using the punch is smooth and effortless. The holes are smooth with no jagged edges or difficulty cutting through a stack of paper. It also has a locking mechanism in the back which holds the punch in a relatively closed position which makes it much nicer for storing in a drawer or small space. This is a very nice two-hole punch, and a good value. I recommend it.

I had to use it to hole punch 1,000+ sheets of paper in a short amount of days and it was a workhorse. It definitely made my job 2x easier over the extremely dull versions I encountered at my office.

Didn’t use this right away so didn’t notice the metal bur in front of the holes. Catches the paper every time I insert it….super annoying. Would have exchanged. Otherwise it works well.

This works great! Zero trouble with it doing what it’s designed to do. If you’re trying to use this to hole punch paper for a 3 ring binder, that’s Not what this is for. Think legal documents when you see a lawyer in a movie flipping thru papers in a legal file folder where the documents are secured at the top short edge of the file. That’s what this 2 hole punch is for. I had zero trouble with the hole punch making clean holes in my stack of papers. Box says it punches up to 50 sheets of 20 lb paper. I don’t know how many sheets of paper I grabbed at a time to hole punch. I don’t want to waste time counting out 50 sheets. I’m guessing I grabbed probably 20-25 sheets at a time & the 24 lb paper I hole punched was HP Bright White24 I bought at Walmart; nothing fancy. For those who bought this & those reviews say the holes don’t line up with a binder, they’re likely not using this hole punch for the type of files & fasteners it’s designed for. For the reviews saying the holes punched aren’t clean, they’re likely trying to punch too much paper (or too much & too heavyweight of paper) at once. Very glad I got this. this punch is not International Standard (ISO 838). Centers are not spaced 80 mm apart. Appears to be a North American Standard i.e. spaced 2.75 inches apart. Unfortunately that information is completely absent from Amazon's on line description or product packaging.

Australian consumers DO NOT buy this product as the distance between the two holes are too narrow for the Australian standard 2 ring binder. I wish I had of read other reviews from Australia so I could have avoided this experience. The build quality is great however the product is useless as the size between the 2 holes is fixed. AMAZON, please remove this item from the Australian distribution network or at least place a clear warning that this product is not compatible with the standard 2 ring binder size in Australia.
