I bought the fox, the bunny, and the learn-to-sew kit. And I give them all 5 stars. They are great kits. I bought the learn-to-sew kit for my 8-year-old (who already knows how to use a sewing machine because of an after-school club, but doesn't have any real experience with hand-sewing). It's a really nice kit with reusable patterns and a booklet with instruction for extra projects beyond the materials included in the set. i.e. it's not a set that you would use up. The book and the patterns will always be useful. But on to the part of this review that I hope will be most helpful .... specifically whether you can push the limits on the age range (which is one of the biggest reasons I tend to read toy reviews ... ). Well, I got the fox and bunny kits for my 4-year-1-month old daughter. I had to help with the accessories, but she was able to do the primary sewing. The kit uses a blunt plastic needle with pre-punched holes in the felt. It wasn't much harder than those sewing cards that are a common preschool toy. She is very proud that she made her own stuffie. She really did do the stitching with hardly any help. The finished product is so adorable that I'd think that she could make something like this as a gift for grandma. It's got that sort of "darling" appeal to it that could totally fit in on a shelf full of grownup kitch/decor.

My girls love crafts so I was excited to find these! They are such a cute idea, best of both worlds: a craft and a stuffy/doll. I did give it 4 stars though because it wasn’t “easy” for my 5 year old. It still requires a lot of parent help, which is fine but she prefers things she can do on her own. Very reasonable price for the item you get.

Purchased as a gift for my daughter's friend and her mom let me know how happy she was with it.

I bought both the Bunny and the Fox for my 2 granddaughters...5 & 7. My 7 year old granddaughter has been asking me to teach her to sew. We did this during a 'sleepover'. First...the 5 year old could not do this but she was engaged and bossed around her grandpa as he 'helped her' do the sewing. She liked the part about stuffing the fox and all the outfits. She hates to follow directions and her new buzz word is IMPROVISE so she did just that and had a ball. The 7 year old is a stickler about following directions. She and I worked to help her read them (good practice) & learn to follow the pictures. She it took a few minutes for her to learn the running stitch but she was totally focused. Then we went on th make the outfits. I agree with others - this does need supervision at these ages (I knew it's be very hard for the 5 yr old so tht was a given) But, the 7 year old also needed me with her during the making. BUT....that's what Gradpa and I wanted. This took several hours....the girls didn't even want to stop for dinner. That's the longest any craft has evere taken us AND they were 100% committed to it. They were excited to take their new stuffies to bed that night. The next morning, they played dress up with them as they changed the outfits. So...if you want an independedt craft - this is for older kids who are better at reading and following instructions. BUT, the fact is , the younger ones are the ones who want the end result...the little animal and the clothes. This craft was a homerun for us.

This is so cute and so fun for a 7 year old. It does not include a real needle, but a plastic one. It is a good start to learning how to sew without using real needle and thread. It has a ton of adorable accessories and makes a great little stuffed friend. My daughter uses it as a little doll friend. It took a few hours to put together

Gave this to my grand daughter for her birthday. She loves doing crafts. This was her favorite, especially because it comes with a backpack. The fox is very colorful. The sewing kits is easy for her to use.

I bought this kit for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She loved it! In addition to the stuffed fox doll, the kit included lots of accessories to make - headbands, clothing, a mini backpack, etc. and used high-quality materials throughout. The instructions were clear and well-illustrated. This was just the right level of difficulty for her. I also bought the Bunny doll kit for her sister, which was equally well received. Highly recommend both kits!

Excelente juguete y didáctico

Acheté comme cadeau pour ma petite-fille de 10 ans qui adore les renards. Le jouet est très mignon et nous a permis de passer un beau moment ensemble à le fabriquer. Elle a pu faire presque tout l’assemblage par elle-même, avec un peu d’aide pour débuter la couture. Tout était très bien préparé, les instructions assez claires et le sac inclus pour ranger le jouet et les accessoires est un ajout très pratique. Très satisfaite de cet achat!
