Not very helpful
Written horribly .....so disorganized. Hard to find GL's for foods. Uses slang words that make no sense.Not worth the price

Goes well with the book
As described in the book, it has several lists of the GL values of various foods. I was hoping it would be a bit mroe comprehensive, but it`s good none the less. A must have if you don`t have any other similar tools...

Good General Info But Not Organised Well
I'm just learning about using the GL to help meal plan. This book will give a good overview of some different foods, but I am perplexed as to the design. Instead of listing foods alphabetically it is split by meal. The problem with this is that various foods are repeated over and over again, taking space away from other foods which should have and could have been included. For example, the info for a croissant shows up in the breakfast section and snack section, and foods like berries appear over and over again. Print quality is not great either. It's just okay.

Do not buy!
I was a fan of Patrick Holford but his latest books all seem to be like a promotion to sell his diet products! Very disappointing.By the way...I just dropped off all my Patrick Holford books at the recycling centre earlier today!

Useful to follow a GL diet, but limited.
I was a little disappointed in the book, I felt it was limited. I liked the way the GL counter had three separate areas for foods that were good, ok and bad foods where the GL was concerned, but the list of foods - I thought more foods should have been covered. It explained how to use GL to lose weight and then to maintain the weight loss, and how to vary the requirements depending on your height.

Best nutritional and weight loss diet available. Simple and easy to follow.
I wouldn't bother with any other diet after this. Not that I could do with losing more than about 8lbs, but whether you need to lose weight or not, Patrick Holford's books will help you improve the quality of your life in that balancing blood sugars gives you more control and mental focus and has many other general benefits. The basic info given makes so much sense - very logical and reasonable. Difficult not to lose weight and feel better whern you put these ideas into practice.

Very small book, but with a wealth of information
I received the small package from the delivery driver, and thought that I had wasted my money again, but how wrong I was. It is full of information on the glycemic load of lots of foods and is easy to read, and it will go into my handbag as well when eating out.
