An excellent introduction
Evernote is a free multi-platform application, and there are excellent blogs and websites that detail its operation and suggest ways it can be used for business and personal purposes. So, why do you need this book? The short answer is that you don't; you could probably figure Evernote out fine without it. However, this book is a very good introduction to Evernote, one that will provide a quick start and offer some suggestions for its use that otherwise aren't so obvious. The book covers all of the basic things, like selecting the version(s) of Evernote appropriate for your technology, downloading and installing the program, creating notes and notebooks, editing, printing, etc. The obvious purpose for Evernote (and similar software, such as Microsoft's OneNote) is personal organization. The book explains how to use it that way, but it also covers the use of images and audio clips, web clippings, and so on. One feature I was not at all familiar with is the ability to share notes with others in groups that you can easily create. This could be extremely valuable at work.Evernote is actually very easy to use, but this book makes it a bit easier, and it broadens out the possibilities for its use. The book is attractive, well organized, and easy to read. It features lots of illustrations and screen shots. I think it would be pretty difficult to go astray trying to implement anything the author describes.Another reviewer raises the issue of cost. It does seem like a fairly costly book, considering that the application is free and well supported online. I guess each of us has to make our own cost/benefit estimates about it. I personally thought the book was good enough to justify the cost.My bottom line: If you need a quick, thorough guide to Evernote, one that will get you started in a hurry and suggest a wide range of uses, this is the book to buy.

Who could possibly give this book anything less
There is nothing bad about this book. It is excellent. If you don t know how to use Evernote after reading this shame on you. I was hesitating because people discourage you with their reviews. Yes, there is plenty of information on the net about using it etc. However, the You tube instructions and even the Evernote instructions don t give the information to get you up and running quickly. Mathis is it. Visual, visual, visual. Great book.Highly recommend. Evernote is one of those things that is difficult to learn but once it clicks you are ready to go.Awesome app by the way and everyone should use it.

Very Helpful for a Great Product
I've come to depend heavily on Evernote, both for business and personal purposes. This book was very helpful. The subject matter is presented in a lucid manner and it covers all of the questions I had. It was extremely helpful to me and I highly recommend it.

Thorough
My Evernote is a thorough book for the novice user. While I'm not a novice user, I'm not an advanced Evernote user either and I was hoping for good tips on how to get the most out of Evernote. This book covers the mechanics of using Evernote competently, but not much more.

More than I need, but flexible to meet my needs
It is a case of no know what I don't know. I am still not sure how to use my Evernote effectively, so reading the book about how to use it is not as rewarding as having a problem and looking up the answer. I believe it will be more helpful and rewarding as time goes by.

My Evernote
Very well written book. The only problem is that Evernote has changed dramatically and this is not always reflected in the book. It does contain many useful examples of how to use Evernote. My Evernote

Dissapointing
The information in this book could be garnered from the Evernote Blog and other free sources; the screen shots are too small and arn't as helpful as they may at first appear. I have been using Evernote since 2.2 days, i.e since before its major redesign and I wanted this to fill in some of the gaps of my knowledge. Sadly this does not do the job and was too expensive, Evernote Essentials (Download from the net) was a better guide. Shame.

Visual Introduction to Evernote
This is a visual introduction to Evernote and as such is fairly useful. It is not the definitive guide for Evernote but certain a good introduction to the application.
