Great lock for dorms

do you hide your money some where in your house like I do in an attempt to get a little chunk saved up? yeah it never works.... i got this hoping I could put the money in it and give the key to a friend or relative. Add money when their around but never take money out! This plan might just work..... and if there is an emergency honestly it wont take much to open this safe up but its nice because its easy to hide and it comes with screws to bolt right into a drawer (bad idea they'll just take the whole drawer) or something. I drilled mine right into my work bench behind some stuff. Its perfect for stashing and also its better to have it and possibly prevent a theft then to not have it and get screwed over. Also it would be cool to screw one in under the passenger seat of a car. whatevers clever right?

Bought for college dorm. Good size for small valuables, credit cards and cash.

I use it for a subcompact pistol box. It is solid and easy to anchor via the security cable that is included. It is not likely to hold up to a determined thief but it will keep the honest honest and as it is concealable in a small space it is not going to found by the casual thief. It works as described and has met my expectations.

This product is what it says it is. I appriciate the cable attachment too. I will say, if anyone wants what is in this bad enough, I think they could get to it with reasonable force. But that is true with any lock box. I'm very happy with this purchase. The padding inside is not very thick. But coughs easily be replaced. I wouldn't expect everything inside this to survive a fire. But I'm giving it 5 stars for meeting my needs and expectations. I paid about $20. I think that is fair, because of the added cable.

I bought this safe so I could lock up my keys/wallet/phone while swimming in a small lake in my neighborhood, and take one small key with me in my swimming trunks. The construction of the safe is fairly light and loose; anybody with a screwdriver could break this thing open in 30 seconds. Accordingly, it's really only suitable for situations where that sort of break-in would attract public attention, or where you can keep an eye on it. It comes with two keys, and a security cable that's long enough to go around a fence post or park bench leg. I can't think of a lot of scenarios where this safe would do the job, but it does the job I bought it for.

The actual item seemed fine, but it came with the most horribly intense mothball smell ever! My husband and I were close to throwing up. No matter what I did, I could not get rid of the disgusting smell. Scrubbed it and nothing. Ran it through 2 cycles in the dishwasher, and nothing. That was a terrible idea, actually, since it stank up the dishwasher AND the house. My eyes water just thinking about it. Ended up having to use a whole bottle of white vinegar to get rid of the smell in the dishwasher. Sadly, the vinegar didn't even touch the mothball smell the safe had. The smell was so intense and so gross, and I was so angry, that I ended up just throwing out the &$@$$&@.

It's hard to get too excited about a lock box that does what it is supposed to do. We use it at work to lock up ID cards. It does the job. Is the exact size we needed and it it a decent price. No problems at all. Would recommend

El producto está bien pero la pieza que me enviaron no cierra bien, debo forzar el acomodo correcto, porque con el cierre natural de la caja no sucede. Enviarlo para cambio me da flojera, se pierde tiempo.

I chose this specific safe as it was smaller than similar ones, it came true to size,brand new in its own box. But out of its own original packaging, it had light scuffing on all 4 rounded corners and 3 small light dents on the top about the size of a pen tip. Not hugely visible but im pretty picky. There were also so very minor, almost indistinct scratches on the top, in the paint. The metal is a little thinner than I expected making the item nice and light but also giving me the impression I could get into it if I really wanted to. It is perfect for what I need it for though and the locking mechanism works smoothly.
