What happened??
The previous album by The Randies, At The Friendship Motor Inn, was one of my favorites of the year, and an album I still listen to fairly frequently each summer, when I tend to listen to pop punk most. It was fun, melodic, interesting -- and good quality. I decided to get their subsequent album, Saw The Light. What happened?? Where did all the fun go? Where did the quality of music go? This album is nothing like their first one -- this one is dreadful. It sounds like an album made for contractual obligation, where they just went through the motions to put something out. Or, sometimes you hear an album from a popular group that is really bad, and later you learn they were all strung out on drugs while recording. I am not insinuating these guys were on drugs when recording this, but I am saying it has that quality of a group not being focused when doing the recording. Contractual obligation, unfocused, bad mood, whatever, who knows the reason, the end result is a terrible performance and recording that I can't bear to listen to. Meanwhile, At The Friendship Motor Inn still delights.

Great band, great album
I sincerely hope that this purchase gave royalty money to the ladies and dude of the band. It seems they had their gear stolen a few years ago and had to call it quits. Great band, great album, tell your friends.

I like it!!!!
I'm partial to this record because I worked on it:)It's bigger and darker than the first Randies CD. There was a change in the lineup between records, and after a year of touring the band was much tighter, and the overall musicianship was much better. Check it out if you're a fan!!!!
