Can make all the difference!
Even if you clean one of these, sometimes they just don't quite work well. Most of the time they feel rough because they are porous, not just calcified- you'll never get it to be perfect. For the money, CHANGE IT!!

Works Like Original
Installed on Manitowoc 420 ice machine. Exact fit and works perfectly. Fixed the issue with filling/refilling trough. This works when water touches the sensor, it then shuts off water supply to trough. Highly recommend this after market item that works exactly like the original.

Short life
The sensor only lasted 5 months before it started messing up. It would show that the water level was at the proper level when it was not so would not fill up with water.
