POR-15 High Temperature Engine Paint, Engine Enamel, 16 Fluid Ounces, Ford Corporate Blue

Couldn't believe POR made this engine color for my 1967 MG engine block. Dries slowly , looks great. Made sure you wear gloves and cover anything you don't want it on. Clean with mineral spirits before cure. Don't think you can get it off anything after it cures! Clean block well prior to use and follow directions.

Work great for the application

I have used this product on multiple occasions to paint engine components on several classic '50s Cadillacs. It is good for valve covers, blocks, intakes, water pumps, etc. You can brush it on or spray it on. I usually spray it. When you spray it, you can reduce it if you like but there isn't a need to reduce it much, something like 4 parts paint to 1 part reducer will give you better flow and still provide good coverage without drips. This paint is durable, you can paint hardware and torque to specification without it flaking off if you are careful. Like most paint projects, surface prep is key. I like to sand blast everything to get good adhesion and best results. Also you can use this product without primer if you use a metal prep but i prefer to use a good high-temp primer for best results. Save a classic Caddy from having a Ford blue engine block just because it was convenient to buy paint at your local auto parts store, and give this paint a try--you won't regret it.

I was unsure about it at first but now that I have used it I will only buy this motor paint way better than any spray paint engine paint 5 Star don't worry about brush lines they flow out for me anyway but I'm a painter so it might be natural for me

This paint works great for the grill part but not so much for the fire box. Turned black from the heat from the firebox. Otherwise the cooking chamber has got to almost 400 and for the indirect heat part it holds up well.

I don’t normally do reviews, but I feel this one needs to be said. I’ve used POR15 products before and have always been super impressed. This was no different. Cleaned the block up and brushed this on by hand with a few different size brushes. Do not panic when it looks terrible at first! You will swear this stuff will never flatten out, but man does it! The first coat also had a dull appearance and I wasn’t impressed. The second coat gave it the color and depth you see. The little pint can did two liberal coats on both the engine and trans with enough for touch up left over. It’s also rock hard and you know this stuff isn’t burning off. Would absolutely use again!

Layed out nice I chose the option of spraying with a spray gun i just had to reduce it. Por 15 products never fail me I’d recommend and would buy again
