What's the difference between the 82782 and the 82783?

Hi Greg! Thanks for your question. The 82783 offers impact resistance, higher heat resistance, and UV protection, while the 82782 is used for chemical exposures and has a lower heat resistance and NO impact resistance. Hope that helps. Thanks!

Does this face shield have any plastic odor? I have multiple chemical sensitivity and I'm having a hard time finding a face shield that does not smell

Yes, I believe it did. Not bad but typical. It never bothered me but I don't have chemical sensitivities. Mine is now six months old but that "new plastic smell" went away pretty quickly as I remember.

are there replacement lenses for this?

The replacement faceshield included with the 3M 82782-00000 H8A assembly is the 3M W96, 82700-00000.
