UPDATE:The vendor reached out to me of their own accord (yay!) and helped me resolve the issues! Apple will reintroduce support for video monitors with the next or upcoming software update, so I'll be able to use it with my MBP.My work laptop (HP) requires one driver to work at the office that unfortunately conflicts with the SIIG docking station, so the two currently won't talk nicely to each other, but it's nice to know that it's a driver issue and not related to the docking station (or me as the user, lol). Still, might be able to use it for the wireless mouse/keyboard. Huzzah!Very thankful to them for reaching out and providing tech assistance!ORIGINAL:Alas, it didn't end up working with either my MacBook Pro (personal computer) or HP laptop (office-provided); I already have newer software installed that precludes its working. Wish it was easier to tell whether it would work or not; part of that is certainly on me, I'm just not aware enough of that side of technology to know without shelling out $75 for something that didn't end up meeting my needs until after I opened it (and therefore couldn't return).

I just purchased my second of these SIIG docking stations to use at a remote office. Yes, I am that pleased with the product. The first one I bought about a year ago to be able to extend my laptop screen to two additional monitors and keep the laptop from crashing because of video memory issues. It was a little difficult to get installed...I had to download the appropriate software first and re-install a couple of times. But since then it works beautifully. Because it has internal video memory it completely solved my crashing problem and I just plug it in to my laptop when I arrive at my office and it works. The only thing I'm not completely happy about is when using a bluetooth mouse plugged into the docking station there is an irritating delay in the mouse responsiveness (I solve this by plugging the bluetooth adapter directly into the laptop).

it works ok for my macbook pro but there is a hardcore lag on redraw of the screen in launcher pad and mission control is this just mine and can i get it replaced

Works great with a late 2012 Macbook pro running Sierra 10.12.6. Running a wireless mouse thru the USB ports on the back made it slightly laggy, but works fine when I use the USB 3 ports on the front. I purchased the unit to for a dual-monitor setup and thus far I haven't had any issues. My macbook doesn't have a CD drive since I replaced it with a SSD so I had to download the drivers on the SIIG website so be prepared to do that if you don't have a CD drive. Overall, really simply setup so I'm very happy with the purchase.

This is working great with 4 different laptops. Three with Windows 7 and one with Windows 10.I'm using the DVI port to a 1920x1200 monitor, the RJ45 lan port, and all 4 of the rear USB ports (keyboard, mouse, headset, monitor hub).I did also try the HDMI port, but I have not used both HDMI and DVI at the same time.I didn't use the drivers that came with it, or the ones on the SIIG website.I got the drivers from [...].The device is a little light and heavy cables can make it difficult to keep in position.

I had been using a Dell D3000 and it failed. After seeing a number of refurbished devices I saw the SIIG and decided to give it a go. Picture quality is exceptional, ease of installation means a layman could get it working. I can't comment on durability only due to the fact I've only been using it for 5 days so far. Highly recommend this product from SIIG.

I am having software issues, Company very hard to contact.

The Universal Dual works well so far me and I like that the unit stands up.It is much nicer for all the cables coming to one 3.0 usb to laptop. As with all USB where they cluster them 2x2 ... It would be nicer if they were 1/8 inch further apart. Some of the newer usb cable have a bulge / bulk to them now..

Ha funcionado muy bien en Windows. Sin embargo lo adquirí para usarse con alguna distribución basada en GNU/Linux y no me funcionó muy bien (lento en la aplicación de refresh a la pantalla). Eso no le quita calificación, ya que el dispositivo no dice que funcione para GNU/Linux.
