Amazon Basics Easy Tear Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder with Ridges

The one my mama had was terrible. When you tried to unroll a sheet, it would unroll half the roll. Even when you were trying to be careful, it would unroll several sheets. It is mounted under her cabinets on the wall. I found this and bought it. It installed in just a couple of minutes because the holes matched right up with her old one. She is IN LOVE with this!

Easy to install, but the roll of paper towels didn’t turn easily at all. You almost had to unwind it to get a paper towel. Sturdy though, and looks nice. But not great for our purposes. Will Likely be returning or donating.

I wanted one of these in my guest bathroom. It has a weighted base and with the shape of the spindle it helps to keep the product from spinning out of control when you pull on a paper towel. I had priced others with this feature and found the price was better on this model. I recommend this.

Could have come with shorter screws. I have screws coming up through the cabinet base.

This was just okay. It didn't seem particularly sturdy and didn't seem quite straight. It didn't work well for our application and we returned it.

No moving parts, so nothing to break or wear out. Has enough resistance to keep roll from turning and let's you tear off what you want to tear off without having to rewind extra paper towels that unspooled.

Only 4 stars for the sound it makes when you pull a paper towel. The bar itself does not rotate. It’s the rubbing sound of the paper towel tube rubbing and rotating as you pull. Overall sturdy.Purchased in April/May, update as of November. Typical use by adults and it’s sagging. It’s properly secured to the cabinet but something internally has come loose and the bar is sagging. Does not appear to be fixable.

So the spindle is too narrow to hold a tube properly (Amazon R & D, wink wink). I wrapped a couple of rubber bands around the spindle and the thing worked like a charm.The stainless finish is ok. It has a steady, non-ratcheting spindle which is a bummer. I'd like this thing to be a tad heavier though.

Its very sturdy and if you give your roll a little squeeze before putting it on the holder it makes the resistance strong enough you can take one peice at a time one handed. It fits the jumbo bounty rolls.

Functional, but dirty.[update] Amazon replaced it, and it’s in great condition. Sturdy and simple.
