This is a must have for me!
Love, love, love this. Bought it at Mardel's last year & liked it so much I bought more to go with my Christmas gifts for loved ones! The lined margins are the best for writing down thoughts & Rhema ideas while soaking in the scriptures. Also, I've been comparing this easy to read translation to a couple of others & find it extremely accurate & so user friendly for 2026!

Excellent
This has helped me keep up with reading the Bible (almost) every day. I am sometimes a day or two behind, but if I wasn't using this I know I wouldn't be keeping up at all. I also got the companion book - I went to a Christian bookstore and they didn't carry either of these. I'm glad to be able to get them from Amazon. I also ordered both the KJV and the NIV; the latter is easier to read for modern eyes, but I like the poetic language of the KJV too. Very much recommend if you want to sit down with the Bible and pace your way through it.

Game changer
After years and years of struggling with reading through the bible. I was given a copy of the one year bible. It was a game changer for me . I was finally able to actually completely read through the bible. I highly recommend for anyone who is struggling with consistent daily reading of the Bible. I have bought copies as gifts and recommended to friends. I would buy it again. I would especially like if Tyndall published a KJV one year Bible in large print. I will still continue to read until they do. May the LORD'S blessings be upon you as you seek him.

A beautiful morning tradition
I've read through this many times. It has helped me to be faithful in my Scripture reading on many days when I was tired or overwhelmed. The language is perfect, and the notes are helpful. Love it.

... is the Bible I used for years and I like that the passages are already preselected for each day ...
This is the Bible I used for years and I like that the passages are already preselected for each day of the year. It made it easy to start my morning time in the Word without considering where to start. It was a concrete plan for reading through the Bible in one year, and then it was a path to unfold Scripture in new ways each year thereafter. I came to enjoy the NLT translation and really benefitted from the extra quotes and devotions written between months or quarters. The pages are pretty, and the font is not too tiny. I do like having the paperback for the lightweight quality, but I did reinforce the cover with clear tape to increase the longevity. I write birthdays and other significant dates near the date mark, and find there is space enough in the margins and between dates to do this and even make small notes if I choose. I often buy this Bible for other women who are looking to walk through the Word in either a year or over several years because it is less intimidating knowing you can go right to the day's date and hear an Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm and Proverb that just might incorporate what you need to hear that very moment. There is a great table of contents too, so for one who is familiar with the Bible's order, you can quickly find any reference you are looking for by using the contents, but this would not be a good first Bible for someone who is going to be looking up specific passages, as it's not organized like a traditional Bible or study Bible. This is just a great everyday personal Bible for a woman who wants to be more consistent in reading the Word and watch how it can change her over the years.

Good at what it does, but...
I had never read the entire Bible from cover to cover, and this seemed like an excellent tool for doing so. I confess, I picked up the KJV because I'm an English major snob and I like the poetry of the old language. However, I must make another confession: the old text sometimes has words that had me reaching for my Merriam Webster dictionary because I suddenly said, "huh?" while reading. The best aspect of the one-year KJV is that it provides a variety of readings on a daily basis--a little OT, a little NT, something from Psalms, something from Proverbs--so you don't have a long, hard slog through some books, like the oh-so-gruesome Book of Leviticus. This variety speeds the process along, and really at a couple pages a day, they do make it easy for you. My one gripe about the one-year format is that it is not good for referencing specific books, chapters, or passages. For instance, sometimes I may have a need to look up a specific book. Given the not-quite-sequential nature of the daily readings, I find myself wishing for a traditionally ordered KJV, so I have the feeling that I'll be buying that next. And so, on December 31, I managed to complete my reading of the King James Bible. I did not read every single day...Later in the year I ended up reading a week at a time when my schedule was free. That doesn't always allow for a deep reading or understanding. And, honestly, the highfalutin language got to be a little too much even for me. I might try the Revised Standard Version or (maybe) the NIV at some later point so I have a clearer idea of what I was reading. Or I'll pick up a study bible so I could get some things clarified. So what did I learn? If I had to summarize the Old Testament and New Testament separately, I would use the following verses: "I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." (Exodus 20:2-6) This seems to sum up the "story" of the Old Testament nicely. God made a pact with his chosen people, Israel, and obedience to Him was the primary thing he required on his side of the bargain. The Old Testament then goes on to show all the bad things that happen to the Israelites when they do not obey--God's favor is withdrawn, and their nation suffers. This lesson, the first of the Ten Commandments, has resonance today because, if human beings do not start with a belief in God to whom they are answerable, they are likely to violate all the other Commandments as well. The New Testament can be summed up by that verse you see on signs at football games, John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." If the Old Testament emphasizes God's law, the New Testament emphasizes His love, as exemplified by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The New Testament has three great heroes: Jesus is the subject of the story and also the great story teller; the apostle Peter is the leader who falls and then redeems himself after Jesus's crucifixion; St. Paul is the great evangelizer and systematizer of Christian doctrine and behavior. If I had to pick a favorite book or two out of the Bible, I would pick the Psalms for their sheer poetry and ability to bring comfort and joy. Following that, I might choose the Book of Ecclesiastes and the Gospel of Matthew, which seems to be the Gospel that speaks in the clearest language. I am glad that I finally read the Bible all the way through. It was something I needed to do. However, when I next feel like educating myself on its text, I will take the easier way out and try a version closer to the language I speak.

Read through the entire Bible in a year, without having to follow a plan or flip back and forth finding each passage, as each day's reading is dated and contains a selection from OT, NT, Psalms, and Proverbs. The soft paperback is easy to hold onto and the large print isn't huge, but lets me read comfortably. I'm really enjoying the modern language of the New Living Translation, too.
