Good, simple system that uses glass and lets you control how long coffee steeps
This is the 3rd one I’ve had in 15 years. Love the system. Not sure if I’m the problem or if they only last so many years. Will keep buying them as needed.

Update: glass cracked on the bottom of the pot after 1st use; replacement pot EXPLODED!
I received this pot yesterday as a replacement for the first pot I had that busted (a hole blew out) in the bottom after using for less than a year. Excited to finally get a good cup of coffee, I heated my water to warm temp and proceeded to make my coffee. I do have a gas cooktop so I put my flame on low/med to start with and once water starts low boil, add coffee and turn down to low flame. The coffee was still siphoning out (apparently my grounds are fine and it takes some time for this process) and I heard a pop. After the mess I had last week, I rushed over to see what it was and dang if the freakin pot hadn't cracked on the bottom. WTH? At least I was able to get the coffee that had drained out so I could at least have one good cup of coffee. Really frustrated with these pots right now! Update: replacement pot received yesterday, used it this morning and it EXPLODED!!! We cleaned for hours to get all coffee and GLASS from the floors, ceiling (which now has to be painted) and countertop. Had one of us been standing in front of the cooktop, we would be in the emergency room right now! NEVER AGAIN will I use one of these pots! I followed the instructions to the letter.

Replacement works as expected.
We bought this as a replacement. Somehow we broke the last one by boiling it dry and then adding water (whoops!). The new one works great and makes delicious coffee. Vacuum and french press coffee For The Win!
