Omega 24" Deep x 48" Wide x 36" High 3 Tier Chrome Starter Shelving Unit

I have bought and built numerous standalone wire rack shelving unit starting with numerous commercial versions with wheels, grounding wires and metal sleeves for IT R&D. I have simple and solid expectations from years and multiple vendors.The plus is that for some reason 24 inch by 48 inch by 36 inch tall size has dried up in my locality. Even Amazon was a difficult challenge searching since many incorrect configurations were provided using multiple flavors of search constraints.I would give 4.5 stars if I could.Here is the annoyances.* The plastic sleeves and pole implementation is slightly off. They are prone to slipping down the pole instead of snagging and compressing.* The adjustable feet don’t have a lock.* The circle indentation on the poles don’t go to the bottom. Fine for me with 2.5 inches of clearance but not others who want more vertical space.* The height isn’t 36 inches but 35.* Putting the adjustable feet into the poles was way too much hammering and making sure it was going in straight.I don’t trust the sleeves are locking at the moment. 🙁Edit #1: I redid and replaced two of the locking sleeves for the top shelf. They slipped lower from leaning on it and weight. If it doesn’t hold, I may redo and use metal screws to lock. 🙁

Easy setup. Caster wheels or leveling screws. Serves its purpose.I would recommend it for use.

This is a great product I would buy it again and again. The price for varying sizes seems a bit odd to me but as I could only find the size I wanted here I had to accept the steep shipping charges. The rack came in three boxes and on sequential days but arrived in good shape with all the parts. I tried to locate this size rack other places like Home Depot where the price was a bit more reasonable and no shipping but due to the size I needed this was really my only option.

I don’t like this item. Should’ve spent more, buying from the company that I received my large s/s shelving unit. First, I didn’t receive my wheel coasters. The black clips didn’t maintain their positioning on the posts, so it took longer to build. Of course, this means that if I try to move the cart, my items may go dropping to the floor. A 2nd box came four days later with additional black clips, so I’ll see if it makes things better.

This appears to be a strong shelving unit and was easy to assemble. I appreciated the numbers on each pole to help install the individual shelves so they were level. My only complaint is the picture of the feet shown in the product pictures is inaccurate. The unit I received had metal feet with no pads or cushioning. Upon contacting the company about it, I was sent gray rubber covers to put over the feet. The feet shown in the product pictures, however, are a thick black plastic. I have since ordered additional wire shelving units, but instead from a different retailer. And each unit came with the same black plastic feet shown in the picture for this product.

The staff of Omega is the saving grace for my review. Products are good but they had a lot of trouble getting the product to me. The staff assured me that they would get the shelves to me and they did. For that I'm grateful as I really needed these shelves. The delay was a bit offputting. Thank you guys for your follow through.

It's has by far the worse design and it's a nightmare to put together. You need a rubber mallet and nothing is easy. I have purchased many other racks lately and this one is the most expensive and unsatisfactory of the bunch.
