It lasted 48 months then the motor is broken. Ordered a different manufacturer motor and its working again. Buy a better motor/fan fellas.

This is the third Cool Attic CX3000 series vent I've purchased in the past two years or so. When one of the fans died, I returned it and obtained a replacement under the lifetime warranty. The other two have galvanized metal tops, and time will tell whether getting a plastic top was a good idea, but these vents move a lot of air quietly and without using much energy. They are controlled by thermostat, easy to install and keep the attic temperature from heating excessively...ultimately helping keep the house cooler. It is a really good idea to make a regular habit of cleaning the soffets, as they can become plugged every few months due to the airflow these units create. Sweeping the accumulated debris away from the soffets ensures cooler attic temperatures.
