Submersible Aquarium Internal Filter 12W, Adjustable Fish Tank Filter with 320 GPH Water Pump for 50-150 Gallon Fish Tank

Just transferred my yellow belly slider from a 29 gallon tank to a 40 gallon tank, and I bought this for like $23 for my new 40 gallon tank. My turtles water was not especially clean when we moved him to the new tank, and I kid you not, within a handful of minutes (easily less than 20 min.), his water is already almost 100% clear!! This filter is already better and more powerful (and cheaper) than the Penn Plax Cascade 600 I had recently bought for his 29 gallon tank. Oh yeah, this filter is also virtually silent! It’s strong enough that it keeps the surface water flowing in my tank too, which helps keep the nasty particles from collecting on the surface of the water. Very very happy with it so far - MUCH better than the Cascade filter!!

I dont know why theres any bad reviews on this filter. I have a 40 gallon breeder tank which houses my full grown turtle. Turtles are very dirty. I've been using a waterfall filter for 10 years. Always having issues. From the tank needing cleaning constantly to the turtle ripping it off the wall. This filter is awesome. My turtle can move brick pavers in his tank, hes strong. He has not gotten this filter off the wall yet, and believe me hes been trying. So the suction cups work great. For the cleaning aspect, I have it half filled, 20 gallons. its keeping it crystal clear. I bought the 12 volt, alittle over kill for 20 gallons but I'm sick of cleaning it every week . And for the extra few bucks, why not? I have 2 other tanks, a 45 and a 250 gallon. I'm really thinking of buying more of these for those tanks. If you're debating on buying this, dont. The bad reviews are people obviously using it wrong. The power is very strong, so if you have been using a bad filter to begin w clean your tank first. That will obviously solve the problem of it swirling all the nasty stuff around and someone thinking its faulty making yr water dirty. Also people having issues w the suction cups, make sure yr glass is clean inside. Could be algae or slime not letting it stick as well. Common sense. Glad I bought this. It's going to save me alot of time! Thanks

This is amazing! Honestly I am blown away by the power of this little beast. It's so much better then the Fluval U4 filter, which I sent back due to killing my fish with it's horrible mount that my beautiful Koi Betta got stuck in and suffocated. This is so nice, and super quiet. It's bubble city if you put the airline attachment on it! I have this on my BioCube 32 for extra filtration and a backup. I'm going to buy another one for my 50 gallon fresh water tank soon. Seriously, you will be surprised at how good this thing is. I was afraid to buy a off brand filter myself, but it turned out to be something amazing. I can't even hear it, which is important due to my aquariums being in my bedroom.

doesn’t work when plugged in

This filter seems like a good value. However, I had to return it as the filter ran hot. Essentially it was like it was a a heater. This heater appears to be designed to clean the water and also create bubbles (be an aerator). That's great it's a multi function machine. My problem was the amount it appeared to be heating the water. I ran this in a thirty gallon tank, so perhaps in a bigger tank with more water the heat would not be an issue. Also, perhaps I just got a bad unit that ran too hot.

Super easy to use and clean!! Have had this going in my 60 gallon turtle tank and hsvr zero issues! Does need to be cleaned often with the turtle which is no problem.

Don't normally write reviews, but this thing deserves one. So I normally buy Tetra or aqueen filtration systems. But they clap out within 3 to 4 months. So I was trying to find a different filtration system and came upon this one. I was skeptical due to the price,but I do not regret this purchase at all.I have had it a little over a year now,and used it in a 75 gallon salt water tank, I have used it in a 200 gallon pond, and I have also used it in a 75 gallon freshwater tank.But I take very good care of it,and I deep clean it at least three times a month. And it has never let me down the best filtration system ever worth the money!!
