This book is a sartorial lover's dream! If you absolutely want to be the best-dressed and most dapper man in the room by all means you owe it to yourself to buy this book! It will be your ultimate reference when you want to put on a show and put your best foot forward by dressing yourself like the sharp-dressed man you were born to be. The people at Esquire really know their stuff and I find no fault with the tips here. I just wish the book had more color photographs to illustrate and contrast the various aspects of color and shading when it comes to Men's fashion but it's really no biggie. Now I will NEVER make another fashion mistake again ( not that I make that many right now but it's a moot point! ) :)

Like all things big and black, this book does not disappoint. Full of knowledge for the upwardly mobile male, this book will help you not be an ass in front of professional company. You'll need that if you want to succeed, so get this book and learn how to be a tactful gentleman such as myself. It's also a good gift if you're too fargone to be someone of class yourself. The least you could do is save a friend or family member from the same plight. Do it today.

This book is hilarious and very informative at the same time. It makes a great gift for a young man in his late twenties that is done with being a frat boy.

I liked the information contained in the book, but I was disappointed that the book was so small and it contained no color pictures. I think for the cost they could have done a better job.

This book is a classic. If you are serious about advancing your life and career in "the establishment." you need this book. It will save you money and grief and embarrassment. Of course if you are totally committed to being a free spirit and do not care about advancing your life and career in "the establishment," you need this book so you will know what NOT to do, lest people mistake you for someone who is. Finally, if your life and career have already advanced, you can use this book to garner some interesting factoids and compare notes. Oh, and ladies ... if you love him and want to help him, buy it, read it, and let him think you already knew all that stuff.

Bought this for a nephew who's 17-ish. Really an amazing resource for a young man! Everything from wardrobe planning (clothes really do need to be a 'budget item' for young folks) to booze, sex, school and career, plus personal hygiene and exercise material and so much more (even how to plan and care for an apartment). The young dude (or dudette, for that matter) who has this will be way better-off than others who are just getting out into the world and who don't have it. You don't need to follow the 'advice' but should really know the issues and possibilities.

Everything from what kind of suit to own and why; what shoes for which occasion; what kind of watch you should own and why; understanding women (as if that were actually possible but... at least it attempts to do something palpable with humor & style); and so much more. You will not regret buying this book. A great read that is worth every penny.

Perfect book with all sorts of guides and how-to's. Includes random spurts of humour, hand drawn images and references to real world practicality uses. The perfect gift all men should have as it can be both a novelty item but a more useful guide when followed. The only flaw would be lack of colour... although that's really digging, it didn't bother me

Dieses Nachschlagewerk sollte in kein Männer Bücherregal fehlen, es macht Lust auf Mode und beantwortet Stil Fragen für jede Situation in welche ein Mann kommen könnte. Für den Europäischen Markt nur teilweise gerecht da es sich um eine Ausgabe der U.S. Esquire handelt, sind fundierte englisch Kenntnisse wichtig und die Bezugsquellen meist auch "Übersee". Mit etwas Mühe oder einen Flug für die eiligen ist dies zwar etwas umständlicher aber durchaus Lösbar.
